Censorship

DirecTV is dropping OneAmericaNews in early April.       DirecTV did a “routine internal review” and has decided OAN has to go.

In his Saturday rally, Trump said:

“This is horrible . This is a great network. These are great people. I watch it all the time and you really get the truth. And they want to cancel them now because of politics — for purely political reasons. It’s a disgrace what’s going on.”

He’s right, but he’s got it wrong….In my opinion, it doesn’t matter WHAT news they’re showing or if they’re ‘great people’ at all.   It’s CENSORSHIP.  It’s totally politics.  It’s DirecTV deciding what Americans should hear.

CENSORSHIP is getting NUTS:

WHERE DOES THIS END?

CAN IT BE STOPPED?

    When?

When those besotted by the heady nectar of PC wokeness succumb to the constant clanging of the bells, faux Quasimodos deafened to logic and reason, and recede into the rotting timbers of their echo chamber façade like so many cucarachas and vermin when they realize that the fake cheese has no nutritional value and Omicron is naught but a sneeze, a wheeze, and a tease easily controlled by citrus, sunlight, common sense, and chicken soup.

The REAL question is what government will come up with next to terrify citizens into surrendering their rights and complying with unconstitutional executive orders.

I heard they had to make room for AOC’s new cooking special. Season 1 features such gems as how to make ice, how to boil water (without burning the planet down), and now that she’s out of recipes – How to pretend everyone wants to date you, 2 plus 2 = 5 is Not That Hard, and why isn’t everything free.

Separate from goo-goo eyes’ recipes for idiots we have the new Manhattan DA announcing he will not prosecute armed robbery without a gun; or hit and run vehicular homicide without a car.

Well, for starters, cable and satellite TV and radio providers are always “changing their lineups.” I’ve always assumed that the money-makers get to stay, and the less profitable venues go the way of the dust bin. That’s the marketing side of the business.

But with that said, if it’s a political move, it would not be beyond the pale to imagine that Joey Biden or one of his many lackies could pick up the phone and call John Stankey, CEO of AT&T (who also owns CNN) (and until just recently also owned DirecTV) and ask, “Hey John, we don’t like OAN … is there anything you can do to help us run them out of business?” … and that John, a raging progressive would say, “Sure Joe … of course, you’ll owe us a favor with the FCC at some later date,” … then a political accommodation could be made.

It’s just another example of what’s wrong with politicized America.

I do have OAN on my DirecTV lineup now, but I watch it as often as I do the other “news” entertainment channels, which is never. So, for me, it doesn’t matter if they take OAN off the lineup. And in any case, if it did matter, there’s nothing I can do about it.

PETER, the fun never stops, does it. Looks like Eric Adams isn’t as effective as I’d hoped he’d be…not by a long shot. 😦

ED… you said “Who is picking up CNN’s and MSLSD’s escaping viewership?”
I think the same thing….. Biden had to admit FOX is ahead of the others, tho I hear FOX’s viewership is not too much better lately, either…STILL better than all the rest.
Curiosity is something I cherish…I’m glad I have it, and I get so much nuance and opinion from FOX ….looking at CNN is good for me; comedy relief….because what they emphasize could even make a Democrat realize ‘they are NUTS’…!!

BOCOPRO…I worry about what they’ll find to come up with next, too. VERY much worried.
Because the Biden people WILL. They MUST.

KID “Why isn’t everything free?” It’s truly nauseating how much they want to give away of our tax dollars and some Americans still think it’s all free……

MUSTANG…of course profit wins…I hope that never stops!!! If it’s good, it’ll sell…..
I’m not sure OAN is so good….I don’t watch it much, but the idea of stopping it and it being so clearly political is really frightening…. I have no doubt the WH might have called DirecTV’s “committee” and ordered them to get rid of it.
    I know you don’t watch…you mention that a lot.

As much as they can get away with.
** Several major banks refuse to handle accounts related to the firearms industry. (Nor will square) I only learned about this because Texas passed a law against allowing such financial institutions to issue their municipal bonds – and several big banks (like Chase) had to drop out.
** We saw it during the lockdowns here where gun stores were closed as “non-essential” businesses, but bike shops were considered essential. Trust me, you don’t find crowds congregating in gun stores — except after the civil authorities fail to do their job as in the riots. (California cities were just slapped down in the 9th Circuit for this.)
** NIH pressured states to issue edicts to doctors that their license would be revoked if they prescribed Ivermectin for the Wuflu (which, btw, is also being used to truncate cold sores!). Some did – I believe Washington was one, but not sure in the list rattled off.
** They tried churches, and several high profile ones fought back against daily incursions, inspections, threats of fines and jail, and revocation of contracts.

But the media onslaught is so high profile. I consulted with DirecTV for some time. The push was always to expand their lineup and covering all bases to snag customers with a variety of packaged offerings. Believe me. This is political.

BAYSIDER…as my link shows, Mike Lindell’s bankers are dropping him, too! (I would, too, but that’s another story!)
Of course it’s political…no doubt about it.
FOX’s conservative channel is the highest in the news cable ratings….So DirecTV didn’t WANT all the viewers who’d share that ideology? TOTALLY POLITICAL…

Oh, gad…Carlson’s got Gabbard on again. ugh
