STATE FARM? “GENDERCOOL?” NOT so fast

THIS FREAKED ME OUT….STATE FARM, MY INSURANCE COMPANY, WAS DOING WHAAAAT?

So I sent this to my Conservative Agent I’ve known for about 35 years:

Are they freakin’ KIDDING?  Did YOU know sexuality in kindergarten?
W$(*&@Q#$(&@Q#($&Q

H wrote me this:

“State Farm’s support of a philanthropic program, GenderCool, has been the subject of news and customer inquiries. This program that included books about gender identity was intended to promote inclusivity.

Conversations about gender and identity should happen at home with parents. We don’t support required curriculum in schools on this topic. We support organizations providing resources for parents to have these conversations.

We will no longer support that program. We will continue to explore how we can support organizations that provide tools and resources that align with our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

We recognize and value the diversity of all people, and support a culture of respect and inclusion in the communities in which we live and work, as well as our workplace.”

He included at the bottom of that email:  (And YES, in Kindergarten, through about 3rd Grade, all I knew is that girls had COOTIES and as a boy, I didn’t want to catch them….)

TO WHICH I RESPONDED:

Well, that’s a relief!  Not sure how you could support a group called GenderCool and know nothing about it.   I suppose they got some $$blowback, but this works for me.   Thanks!

BUT NO…. I AM CONVINCED STATE FARM ONLY PULLED BACK BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE ME HAD CHECKED OTHER INSURANCE COMPANIES LAST NIGHT AFTER HAVING SEEN THE NEWS AND HAD NOTIFIED THEIR AGENTS!!   AND, the good news is I just saw that information yesterday and already StateFarm was backtracking!  Got a LOT of pullback…

UPDATE:  I got this email from my State Farm agent after I’d written this post on Tuesday.  I was right:

They got a LOT of blowback, deservedly; gotta know what you’re doing, esp. under the “doing good” banner – (facepalm)

Cauldrons of tar are beginning to simmer and should be in full boil by 8 November. Geese, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and other flying vertebrates are donating feathers in great numbers. (Peacocks and parrots have so far been noncommittal.)

Does Mother Nature occasionally make a mistake? Yes.
Do gender plumbing errors occur sometimes? Yes.
Are K-6 students impressionable and malleable? Yes.
Are K-6 teachers qualified to discuss gender with children? NO!

The rate of intersex births (ambiguous or mixed genitalia) is roughly 1 in every thousand. How in the name of Liberace did gender suddenly become a major issue for people paid to teach children how to read, write, work with numbers, and behave reasonably in directed groups.

Discussing gender with children interested mostly in pleasing adults, playing games, and being accepted as “normal” is like explaining bicameral legislatures and separation of powers in government to a spaniel. He’ll listen patiently for a few moments, totally misunderstand what you’re talking about, and eventually wander off in search of a toy, a ball, a cookie, or a nap.

Yes, once in a while a person is born with a problem . . . it might be mixed genitalia, or it might be spina bifida, or it might be red hair and left-handedness with a cleft lip. Is that fair? Of course not.

But in my little town, which had 5 grade schools, two junior-high schools, and one high school, I never once heard of a kid with gender issues. Were there sissies? Yeah, several. Were there tomboys? Oh, yeah, and they were fun. And 99.9% of ‘em got over it.

I went off to college in the late 50s, and you’d think that if gender had been a serious issue, that’s where I’d have learned about it. But . . . silencio. Met thousands of people from all over the globe, black ones, brown ones, tall ones, Jewish ones, Hindu ones, aggressive ones, sneaky ones, passive ones, brilliant ones, dull ones, predatory ones. But gender was an issue only when lookin for someone to swap spit with or roll around with in the grass and autumn leaves behind the hallowed halls of acadaemia.

And girls played girls’ sports, and boys played boys’ sports, and nobody tried to change that setup . . . and we liked it. If there were unfortunate persons living secret lives of trans- or homosexuality (and I’m sure they were there), they adapted and formed their own cliques, just like the jocks gravitated toward other jocks and husband-hunters flocked with other husband-hunters.

That’s perhaps mankind’s greatest strength, adaptability. But for some perverse reason, we’re allowing tiny little clusters of noisy, unhappy, demanding outliers to dictate custom, language, education, and even public law for the 99%. And I just don’t get it.

    I would have liked to be a professional athlete . . . but I ain’t big enuf. I’d have liked being a pro golfer . . . but I ain’t good enuf. I’d even have liked a foray into entertainment . . . but I ain’t talented enuf.

So . . . I played the cards I was dealt – raised a family, paid my debts, got an education, saw a hell of a lot of the world, and am reasonably comfortable in my declining years, WITH . . . BTW . . . one totally asexual grandson, one gay grandson, and one grandson with mild dyskinesia.

Shit happens, and sometimes there’s nobody to call, or they just let it go to mail and delete your pleas. Life ain’t fair. Just ask Hamlet, or Job, or Joe Btfsplk.

I had a transaction with State Farm when one of their female customers hit my truck. Based on this I can tell you that State Farm sucks and will never be on my list.
Otherwise, I appreciate when companies like this reveal their ignorance so I can avoid them. Panera, Goodyear, Coke, Gillette, many others, SO easy to avoid giving them any of my money.
Keep it up you morons !

I’m never quite sure what respect for diversity is, or inclusion either. If diversity means that I must learn to respect those who wish to marry their pets, then no … I don’t support it. If inclusion means that I have to invite orangutans to my garden party, or maybe pick one up at a singles bar … I’m not going to do that, either. I’m with Kid on this. All I want to know about State Farm is how much they’re going to screw me on my insurance bill and whether they intend to pay me if some clown from Cincinnati caves in the rear or my car. I don’t want to know how “woke” they are. If they insist on telling me that crap, I’ll shop somewhere else with my gratitude for a head’s up.

BOCOPRO: That’s the point…. .39% of Americans are transgender. If that. Why do our kids at 4 years (or 15?) need to know about them? We should teach respect to all people.
Maybe you didn’t read it, but my sister’s granddaughter had a school assembly yesterday…the Principal didn’t blab the whole Texas killing nightmare to all those kids…all she opened with was “a moment of silence for all children in the world”….it’s UP TO THE PARENTS what they want to tell their 6 year olds… And it’s up to parents, as you suggest, to tell their kids all that they want them to know.

Oh, State Farms’ been fantastic for me for almost 40 years….great agent, always provides what I need. But I doubt any insurance company ALWAYS does what we need.
And I’m still considering leaving State Farm over this. May try Triple A…does anybody have experience with them? I’m open to suggestions (though I’d hate to leave my agent who’s fought for me a few times and won) I doubt there’s any insurance transaction which hasn’t turned all of us off.
KID, I’m sorry you had a bad experience.

PETER….OAN usually isn’t as bad as NewsMax, which I believe would run this story for weeks even KNOWING State Farm backed off. Surprising OAN didn’t hear the update I posted here.
Between you and me, through several situations I’ve had lately, I think some Republicans are far nastier than some Democrats…..you CANNOT say a SLIGHT criticism of ANY Republican ‘agenda’ on certain FB sites or you are some kind of ogre…It’s like they suddenly can’t breathe…..NO LISTENING to ANY input they don’t like, and “GATEWAY PUNDIT IS GOD” 🙂 (it isn’t)
    I miss OAN…L.A> Directv dropped it. And I can’t watch NewsMax ..

MUSTANG: I agree..it’s my experience that RESPECT FOR DIVERSITY now has to include THEY COME FIRST: You’re a NOTHING if you’re the average American….if you respect diversity, you must smile and enjoy two men kissing on adverts for naked reality shows (during which producers try to prove the human being is nothing but an animal who’s worn uptight, gender-proving clothing for too long.)

LAYLA…Your link involves a couple of State Farm offices….. I’m not sure they represent all of State Farm……But, it’s fact that SF obviously caved to what must have been a HUGE onslaught of disgruntled policy holders (like me, tho I emailed my agent, and he already knew they’d turned this around, thank God) and wouldn’t have reneged if their bottom line hadn’t been threatened…..I’m going to look around for another company when I find some energy, too. Sad, because I like my agent and have always had good service; they’ve been around a LONG time.

Do you know if you can just show a new agent what your previous coverage was and ask them to duplicate it? I know SO little about this field and am afraid of under insuring myself ….Am thinking of driving over to AAA and see what’s up there.

Z, yes, you can, but I wouldn’t ask them to duplicate it; I’d ask if they can save you money.

It is probably time we brought in Jake, from State Farm, to answer questions about what he knows of his company’s efforts to poison the minds of five-year-old children. Poisoning the minds of five-year-old children is a very bad thing. Don’t take my word for it. Just take a close look at Joey Biden. This is what happens when you mess with the minds of five-year-olds.

MUSTANG…..I love Jake 🙂 But, yes, this is HIDEOUS and we ALL know it wasn’t integrity that supposedly forced SF back from supporting destroying our kids, it was $$$$$.

Parents are already accusing, attacking (who could blame them?)

THIS JUST IN: Four children are orphans now; One of the teachers who was killed’s husband has died of a massive heart attack……they’d been childhood sweethearts…Dead as of about an hour ago…. Yes, they got LOTS of blowback. But the termites whose plan this is will tunnel deeper so you won’t see it next time. Shows how emboldened they are now. Once the legal authorities green lighted non-marriages as marriages the dam burst.

BTW, a TON of companies are doing this per the story I read yesterday in Epoch Times. “GenderCool lists a number of high profile companies other than State Farm as its partners and supporters, including Adobe, Dell, Oracle, Intel, HP, Bayer, Nike, Bank of America, Capital One, Indeed, and NBC Universal. The group says it engages with partners in “six powerful ways,” such as speaking events, mentorship programs, DEI/HR consulting, [short for Corporate Re-education Camp] and advising for parents of transgender children.”

Who are these folks? “The GenderCool Project is a youth-led movement bringing positive change to the world.” Hmm. That was the Jesus Movement that did that guys. You outta look into it.

Jen helped launch The GenderCool Project—an awareness campaign and nonprofit spotlighting exceptional stories of the accomplishments of transgender youth.”

So … she wouldn’t mind The ChristianCool project that spotlights the accomplishments of Christ followers? Or isn’t that what so many are complaining about? Hearing about dead white Christian men? I’ll bet that “light and levity” flies out the window at the speed of light if you cross her or just focus on accomplishments and leave any gender references out.

Z, my son Ken only noted the irony of the shooting being in the most conservative, gun-tottin’ state in the union. What were the odds on that happening? 50 to 1? And in a small town, too, not Dallas or Ft. Worth. Also, the fact the shooter was killed, which isn’t so odd because they had to stop him.

And yes, OF COURSE it's not just State Farm!! I just don't want to be PART of it by paying my premiums and they are my insurer.

"light and LEVITY?" What is she, a Kamala follower? What's funny about gender crap?

What's healthier? Faith in someone/something bigger than we are…….? Or some twisted belief in little kids who decide they're not a girl, they're a BOY!?
Yes, ChristianCool sounds better to me. And BY THE WAY, let it be a CHOICE, not a MANDATE in schools.

MAL, KID….I'd written these notes an hour ago for tomorrow Post but will put it here in shorter version:

-ABORTION LEAK…REPUBLICANS ARE TO BLAME FOR STOPPING BABY KILLING…WOMEN, WAKE UP! DON’T VOTE FOR THEM!

-BUFFALO SHOOTING….REPUBLICANS LIKE GUNS! SEE WHAT HAPPENS? IT’S THEIR FAULT! DON’T VOTE FOR THEM!

-UVELDE KILLINGS….THE REPUBLICANS WON’T WORK WITH US ON GUN CONTROL! IT’S ALL THEIR FAULT, LOOK WHAT THEY’VE CAUSED!!!

right? NEVER EVER VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS AGAIN…SEE WHAT THEY DO??

In comparison to the following, which are IGNORED:
Open border and shipping possibly covid-laden, unmasked illegals around the country.
    $6.00 a gallon gas
    Baby formula mishandling
    Afghan debachle
    Taiwan serious gaffe
Putin “out of office” serious gaffes
    supply chain nightmare…future food shortages.

on and on and ON and on……………..NOOOO PROBLEM. VOTE DEMOCRAT! 🙂

BAYSIDER…about the ‘accomplishments of transgender youth” doesn’t strike me as anything to do with ‘our faith’, … I don’t hate, or even dislike, anyone who’s trans…..but I KNOW with certainty that the minute YOUTH are brought into it and body parts are altered and hormones are ingested, suicide often follows….and, for that, I am skeptical…

One of my occasional sermonizers/pastors is an ER Doctor in ‘real life’… more liberal than I am. He spoke a whole sermon on transgender and the rate of suicide and , of course, the reminder that we love no matter what….but we must be aware that trans is usually not a happy road….and often leads to misery. There are trans people warning against it, as well…you’ve probably seen some of that. I just thank God I’m not faced with anything like it….

A recent huge$$$ JEOPARDY champion is transgender….man to woman….AMY, I think her name is, she was wonderful…didn’t talk of her sex change, just WAS;;;;and WAS REAL REAL smart! It was the media that played on her sexuality, which I found sad. But I was so proud of her just being A PERSON first, not blabbing about how she’d been a man, etc. Yes, she mentioned her ‘girlfriend’ a few times, like a lesbian would, but….the next Jeopardy huge winner is a young lesbian, too.

Well I found the “faith” statement. “Let you be you” pablum. A loooong way from Romans 3:23.

“Acceptance comes from kindness, empathy and love, which everyone deserves.
If you are experiencing anxiety or fear about disclosing your true self, please know this…
There are millions of people who support, respect and accept you for who you are. You are wonderful and simply perfect.
Please continue to seek others who will love you for being you.”

This will never get anyone on the path to Jesus for healing of their soul, and find one who truly accepts and understands you – accepted on his terms offered inclusively to all. So sad no one is telling these confused children this. I’m pretty libertarian on these matters. Until you thrust it in my face to go along with YOU after screaming at me that you can’t be expected to go along with ME. And grooming 6-year olds. A special place in hell.

I had to register Mr. B for a doctor’s appt. today. About 1/4 of the form was about nonsense. “Preferred pronoun?” I gave Greg Koukl’s answer: I don’t have a preferred pronoun. I’m male.
