It is indeed a more hopeful day, today. We just filled our last vacancy yesterday, and finally a few moments of peace and “me” time.

  2. MAL says:

Good for you, Bay. We had to evict one of ours who was the tenant from hell that left the place a mess! (it was her, not him). A neighbor told me the previous week the tenant had called the cops who came and took the woman away! Abuse can work both ways, right? After spending thousands, we put it on the market and immediately sold it. We still have one other rental.
I’ve owned rentals on and off since the late 1950’s and by far, they were the worst.

Then you may have a perspective on what my former landlady told me, which is that either sex can be a mess, but when girls are bad they are the worst!

  4. MAL says:

I believe that, Bay. Many probably go unreported due to embarrassment or because they’ll only defend themselves and won’t hit a woman no matter what.

Also, back in 1971 when we moved to Newport Beach we bought a triplex in Corona Del Mar (between Newport and Laguna Beach) and had one unit rented to a couple of stewardesses with AirCal in their twenties. Oh! They paid their rent on time every month. The problem was all the partying! AAAAARG!

  6. Baysider says:

That was part of the stewardess life when it was single young women. Corona del Mar was the beach we went to when I was a kid, so I know it well. The main beach, the little side beaches off the Newport channel, and Little Corona. Fond memories.

BAY AND MAL; I hear girls are dirtier, too….I’ve heard it often.

SO SO glad you’re rid of your tenant, Mal…
and REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU BAYSIDER….hurrah!!! You deserve some YOU Time:-)

  8. Elizabeth says:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Yes, may God fill us with hope and joy and peace and trust in Him, not the carnal concerns of this world which are temporal. Wishing the best to all but I wish this post had been more focused on the above scripture. God is good. Why don’t we give Him praise if we put him on our blogs? Surely God is more important than the above shallowness of our daily lives which when we die will all be dung.

God bless you all and I wish you all a happy 4th of July.
