Musky Monday……

We haven’t talked much about him but he’s begun to open the doors to a return of free speech…Twitter is now allowing back on, among others, Kathie Griffin, Jorden Peterson & Babylon Bee …I can’t stand Griffin and wouldn’t have let her on, but I AM a proponent of free speech, so……..that’s probably a good thing.

Musk is 100% correct on the NY Times being nothing but ‘far left brainwashing’ and ‘boring’ (mentioned in  the link, which is a short, pretty good piece..)

I drove to Mom’s rehab yesterday;  about 40 minutes going (80 mph much of the way on an early Sunday morning) and 1 hour coming back……..I tell you this because two cars were driving ridiculously slow….and I realized they were TWO TESLAS!   Coincidence?   I passed a TON of cars yesterday but THE TWO…..TESLAS!!  ugh.

…meanwhile is Trump, you know, that guy who gave us $5 p/gal milk and gas, gave Xi and Putin the green light to do whatever the f__k they want, etc etc , that guy is still persona non grata in Twitt?

In other news caught a glimpse of Stevie Wonder sporting the Che look. Right on brotha. Guess he couldn’t get his rasti braids under control.

Ops…just learned the Donald is once again a tweetster. It’s such big news that even my brother in Texas didn’t know either. Can we suppose big news would be Biden switching from ice cream to gelato.

I don’t pay that much attention but Elon did get Americans flying to and from the ISS, again rather than relying on Russia to do it and none too soon.

Musk will go down in history with the likes of Thomas Edison, Tesla, and the other pure geniuses and he’s just getting started.

As far as tweeter, I do enjoy when I see libtards squirming around in a frying pan trying to keep their butts from getting too hot. I have no use for twitter as it is as I’ve always concluded that it is either an echo chamber or an argument with an idiot which serves no purpose.

Tweeting is for the birds ranking right up there with Facebook and teats on a bull.

PETER….Conservative news was covering Trump being back on Twitter…it happened fairly recently, and Trump’s saying he might not because of TRUE…whatever his site is…True Something…or SOmething True? I don’t know.
Love your sarcasm!! Ya, Trump….THAT guy who screwed our country up! (As if).

And I like Facebook’s way of catching me up with East Coast (mostly Troy, NY) relatives AND the Turner Classic Movie private sites I belong to to talk old movies with strangers all over the country…THAT is good stuff. Also, I belong to two political groups and like to see that stuff, PLUS I like commenting on MediaBuzz, FOX’s Sunday morning show ..Great to argue with idiot lefties like MELISSA…Oh, I’d like to punch Melissa in the kisser 🙂 and she would, me! 🙂

KID…I have a Twitter account, I think! follow my Dr nephew’s research tweets with other doctors…………but I’m not good at it and don’t do the politics there.
I do like seeing Tweets reprinted in various places so I know what the latest bunk they’re screaming at each other about, though!!

ALSO; FOR CAR LOVERS; I was on Sepulveda Blvd, the long non-freeway alternative to driving from what we call “the Valley” to LA CITY, and suddenly see the tiniest car I HAVE EVER SEEN buzzing along at a very fast rate…I DRIVE FAST and was amazed at this car breaking the speed limit even more than i usually do….It was a MORRIS MINI DELUXE, probably at least 25 years old, driver on the right side, Black guy wearing some kind of soccer get-up so he’d probably been watching Qatar with friends…..this car MOVED, folks!>>>’s an engine that tiny move THAT FAST?

  9. geeez2014 says:

THE WAY I SAW THE BLACK GUY’S CLOTHING was that I finally caught up with him at a stop light and rolled my window down and said “Boy, your car can MOVE!” He laughed and waved and we moved on 🙂

Years ago driving from LA to my uncle’s home in Camarillo I would coast in neutral on my VM lacking only wings to fly. What a roll… That was before that stretch of 101 became a mini mall tunnel.

“how’s an engine that tiny move THAT FAST?” Maybe it’s another engine.

Most guys who wanted to ‘impress’ on the road would get a VW car and put a Corvette (I think it’s the Corvette that fit, but may be another fast car – Kid??) body on it. My brother had a friend who got a Corvette and put a VW body on it. He was pulled over going 105 up the grade on the 5 from the valley to the Tejon pass (this is steep, folks – 15% in places). He said to the cop “are you sure? You think this car can do that?” He escaped the ticket.

Musk: showmanship. The people are the voice of god? Get outta here. Either it’s RIGHT or it’s wrong, but popular vote does not make it right. I think he likes tweaking noses.

    CORRECTION: I can’t believe I wrote 15%. No, non, nyet. It’s 6%. Still steep.

  14. kidme37 says:

@Bay – Corvette body on a VW or a VW body on a Corvette. Either one new to me.

  15. Baysider says:

Kid – this was some years back. Early to mid 60’s.

MUSK: so when does Mr. Free Speech invite Alex Jones back? Oh, he made up stories about Sandy Hook, did he? He admitted it (long before the court case btw), and apologized. I’ve never liked him or followed him, but it seems his batting average over ‘conspiracy theories’ would make him the highest paid slugger in the cleanup position on any baseball team. QUESTION: When is a conspiracy theorist actually a conspiracy discoverer? ANSWER: When he’s right as often as Jones has been. Still not a fan, but truth is truth.

  16. geeez2014 says:

BAYSIDER….Alex Jones is not unlike Trump….The media despises him for sometimes being right (Did you hear Senator Warner is saying he believes Trump was correct on TikTok bans? it’s a start from the Left!!) but his PERSONALITY is boisterous and argumentative and self-serving……this type doesn’t do well with a lot of Americans. Whether we like that or not.

By the way: re TikTok….Do you all know our kids are besieged with negative America stuff (racism!), with cultural lowlife encouragement, etc., and Chinese kids not only are allowed FORTY MINUTES OF TIK TOK A DAY, but also their content is happy, positive and CHina-loving?

    WHAT THE F? oops!

BUT, it’s a good question about Musk taking Jones to Twitter….I’d have thought Jones has enough of a site to get the comments he needs and wants, but maybe not?! But, if that’s the case, and Jones WANTS back to Twitter, some of us need to realize Twitter is a powerhouse of opinions and maybe it does matter that it’s there, sadly.

I had them all beat: A 62 Beetle with a 57 Kharman Ghia engine. And yes did the Tejon pass back around 1970. It was great being young and dopey.

Must is a genius that I believe has just begun. Look for him to keep improving and creating.

Putting larger engines in cars has been going on since I was a teenager. Remember the term “Hot Rod” came during my teens. Guys would buy an old Model A Ford, rip off the hood and fenders leaving just the cab, replace the 4 banger engine with a V8 bought from a junk yard, and VOILA! Ya got a Hot Rod called an A-V8. I’ve rebuilt carburetors, transmissions (not automatics), installed power steering, brakes and seats in cars that didn’t have them originally (we bought from junk yards), etc. Lots of fun. We did these things at little cost. ($15 – $25 for a Model A), $20-$30 for a V8 engine, etc). I never did the A-V8 thing though myself, but most always drove convertibles.

MAL… “Musk is a genius that I believe has just begun. Look for him to keep improving and creating.”

I really have high hopes that you’re right.

That’s what I always thought so that’s why I was blown away (physically and mentally) by the Morris Deluxe Mini!!!

I just noticed my computer thought I’d made a spelling error for Musk and changed it to Must. Sometimes auto correcting gets it wrong!

Interesting link. My grandfather ordered all his cars to pull travel trailers. Engines with big displacement. Lots of power in the low end, torque and oversized ‘police’ brakes. We bought one from him. It was the car I learned to drive on. A dream!! And it did pull trailers well (I had it up Pacific Coast Highway in the twisty part mid-coast just taking those curls like nobody’s business). You and Peter made me smile.

If Maxine Waters can be on Twitter … so can Jones. If Ayatollah Khamenei can be on Twitter … so can Jones. Wouldn’t follow him. Like I said, not a fan. Do NOT like his style either (Trump is a dreamboat by comparison, and we all agree he needs you to write for him), but it bugs me that he keeps seeming to be right. Wasn’t he the guy that infiltrated the Bohemian Grove years ago and put out a video? Think so. Gutsy.

BAYSIDER..Oh, yes… AYATOLLAH was kept when TRUMP was ousted…imagine!?
