The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost,
Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration,
politics without God, heaven without hell.
William Booth
“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.”
― William Saroyan
The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery. -- Winston Churchill
Ignorance is not an opinion, liberals
I believe in Christianity as I believe the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. C. S. Lewis
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

While teaching part time at the Mesivta of Teaneck 200-2003 I met a fellow English teacher a retired member of the Jeopardy team who for 13 years researched and wrote questions for the show. I told him my viewership went back to the Art Fleming days and he gladly answered the questions I had about the show.
Piss on this racist jerk and his sour grapes who unable to answer a seemingly generic question for him and his ilk. Zip a dee do dah….

PETER, that’s good to hear, thanks. This jerk really amazes me because YOU CAN EITHER ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OR YOU CAN’T….THIS could be the most “anti racist”, “anti whatever” there is.
THIS is MERITOCRACY at its best! You’re SMART or you’re NOT…or you’re at least less smart than the winner…
BUNKERVILLE, that cracked me up! Thanks for the smile! I think you’d do pretty good at Jeopardy!

I used to watch Jeopardy! all the time with Mr. AOW. It was a nightly ritual for us.
But I haven’t watched since Mr. AOW passed.
The above said, what Yogesh Raut said reminds me of Aesop’s Fable about “sour grapes.” See “The Fox & the Grapes”>, a children’s story.

We never watched it. Perhaps because we don’t want to see how stupid we are!

The question would have been clearer if he dropped the second part, but maybe that’s the point of Jeopardy. Lookin’ for facts to fit your theory.

MAL, you’d do okay, I’ll bet!
AOW…TOTAL SOUR GRAPES, I agree.
BAYSIDER…not sure what you mean about ‘the point of Jeopardy?’

The point – to make the question harder, more obscure to answer

I sometimes watched it in the past. I like it. Yes, you ‘learn’ things. Still, my favorite game meme comes from Wheel of Fortune. Clinton is standing at the podium, looking at this: C_T SP_ND_NG and says “I’d like to buy a vowel.”
