This nation is sitting in a stalled Debtmobile at the intersection of Gridlock Boulevard and WTF Avenue. The battery has an internal short, and the engine fell out 2 blocks back. The steering wheel is locked on left-turn, and noxious gases are rising from the decaying upholstery.
The SOTU isn’t about the state of the union . . . it’s about hype, exaggeration, gaslighting, fingerpointing, blame projection, and horn blowing. The guy delivering it will be a confused, compromised, careless, callow, clueless, contrived, catastrophic criminal whose reality changes each time air escapes from between his lips.
Joe Biden doesn’t have the memory needed to be a successful liar. He constantly retells false embellishments of his imaginary escapades, all of which have been thoroughly debunked, because in his mind they’ve become true through sheer repetition and no reason to believe otherwise.
There is simply no way a guy with his record of incompetence, poor decision making, greed, ignorance, corruption, and unawareness can be in charge of anything more complex than a vegetable garden, much less a nuclear superpower nation of 330 million people.
Joey’s handling of the envelope-pushing, self-steering, hovering Chinese intel gasbag makes it perfectly clear that China may be an economic and military enemy of the United States, but not of the Biden administration.
We have him to thank for inflation that won’t go away, confusing interest rates, another 2 or 3 trillion on the national debt, unpayable obligations and entitlements, a worthless dollar, almost total loss of privacy, no useful educational system, celebration of sexual deviancy, skyrocketing crime in major urban areas, Ukraine, threat of war with China, depleted military with shortfalls in equipment, regulations and mandates about travel and personal health, corruption in government, no accountability for national security, an uncontrolled border, exorbitant fuel prices, health-care worker shortages, supply-chain disruption, and complete loss of confidence in US for our allies.
Basement Joe won’t give us anything resembling truth or reality in his speech, mostly because he doesn’t know the truth and can’t recognize reality. The best word to describe him is “gringewort.” And his press secretary is a “cringewart.” Joe’s fiscal policy is “bingemore,” and his border policy is “unhinged door.” His son’s raison d’etre is “syringe corps,” and his wife’s style is “fringe bore.” The long term goal concerning the US Constitution is “infringe more.”
The guy long ago exceeded his legal limit on dumbassery. Seems to me the DNC has begun to visualize him in a Confederate uniform on a swayback nag about to be tossed onto the scrap heap of history.
And what’s really tragic about it is that our second-in-command comes across like a whiffle bat n the World Series on-deck circle. I think somebody in her family musta flavored her curry with LSD too many times.
Whom would I invite to the SOTU? Well, first of all, I wouldn’t go myself, so asking someone else to endure the hot air, gaslighting, empty rhetoric, and unidentified flying cowchips would be an insult.

I cannot imagine subjecting anyone I care about to the State of the Union Address. First, anyone who doesn’t know the state of the union has no business being out on the streets alone. So, I think anyone sitting inside the capitol building tonight is probably a zombie … and we all know what to do about zombies.
But here’s what I would enjoy. And this time, I really mean it. I’d like to see Biden and Harris resign the presidency and vice presidency. Tonight. Effective tonight. That way, the networks would have something to talk about for the next 30 days other than Ukraine or Donald Trump. McCarthy would become president, Pelosi would commit suicide, Omar still wouldn’t have a committee assignment, Schumer would poop McConnell’s pants, and Chief Justice Roberts could begin muttering, “I never saw that coming.”
And life would be good … for a while.

Rep Gomez spoke about how the Republicans on the panel are just trying to hide their hate for Hispanics and are exaggerating the problem….and how the party is controlled by EXTREME QANON MAGA people and they have the wrong people on the panel because they’re lying and not factual.
I’m so tense and pissed about the border situation I almost wept, seriously.
AOC was hilarious as she asked John Modlin “Do you fire agents who work with the ‘veterans on the border’ militia people, the white supremacists? ”
Here was my fave part “…those who are ANTI SEMITIC?” Has she HEARD of Ilan Omar??? 🙂

What the Left on the panel are trying to say is that MOST PROBLEMS AT THE BORDER ARE DONE BY AMERICANS….that THEY are responsible for Fentanyl, crime, etc….that AMERICANS are to blame and the Right is lying because they hate Mexicans.

The Left kept harping on the OMNIBUS BILL which DID include quite a bit of money for border control…….”The Republicans didn’t vote for the OMNIBUS”…
Am I wrong in suggesting that HUGE BILL covered a LOT of things, was WAY too expensive, and that the Right didn’t like the WHOLE BILL so they had to vote against it?
And since the bill DID PASS…where the hell IS that huge amount of money promised in it for the border?

What you heard in the news wasn’t even close to the truth. During the Clinton Administration (1992 and 1993), as I’m sure you will recall, there were two horrendous incidents involving agents of the F.B.I., U.S. Marshal’s Service, and A.T.F. moving against American citizens using combat weapons and tactics. The two incidents were the shooting at Ruby Ridge (1992) and the Branch Davidian assault in Waco, Texas. At Ruby Ridge, F.B.I. gunmen killed Weaver’s 15-year-old son when he stumbled upon a concealed F.B.I. position. This death was ruled “justified” even though the boy was unarmed. F.B.I. sniper Lon Horiuchi murdered Randy Weaver’s wife, holding their ten-month-old infant. Randy Weaver and Kevin Harris were wounded.
At Waco (1993), F.B.I. Lon Horiuchi murdered 82 Americans and wounded 11 others. In this connection, the federal government began making claims of “terrorist” militias throughout the United States. The government and press attached this label to Randy Weaver, David Koresh, Robert Finicum, and Cliven Bundy. Lon Horiuchi did not go to jail for his murders. This means that if you are a federal officer, you can murder Americans and not worry about prosecution. I hardly imagine that this is what our founding fathers intended for us.
Following the Waco incident, former Army veteran Timothy McVeigh published Horiuchi’s home address with the expectation that someone would shoot him dead in retribution for his crimes. No one did. McVeigh was later involved in the explosion of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City and was put to death.
As you suggest, “Militia” is not a dirty word, and militia membership is not bad. It could be a bad thing, depending on what you do with it, but there are not tens of thousands of Americans in the forest arming themselves against the government. What you see is Americans arming themselves against federal agencies (who carry guns) because they are tired of the federal government pushing them around (Cliven Bundy comes to mind).

Whether militias have outlived their usefulness is a matter for you to decide. I think putting militias in charge of U.S. border security makes sense.

I’m interested in militias only because I’ve never sensed they’re a bad thing by definition, yet the Left uses them like the dirtiest word possible….So all you write makes sense…I definitely remember Ruby Ridge and Waco…. I always wondered about McVeigh, always sensed it was wrong to execute him….
WHat I DO NOT UNDERSTAND is IF YOU KNOW THIS INFORMATION, PEOPLE WHO CAN ACT ON IT (OR COULD HAVE THEN) KNOW IT, TOO……….
I’m FAR FAR more concerned that there are such evil secrets that SOME know but nothing gets done about them.
I’m also FAR FAR FAR more concerned not that bad things are done by the Left or the Right, that’ll always happen, but that we have a media which skews it the way THEY want it….and is not curious as it had been a bit in the past, enough to look into THE TRUTH ….and tell us.

McVeigh was handy (literally, they could get their hands on him) and he was involved in a bombing that killed a lot of people. Why not execute him? He was not alone. And I don’t mean his American partner. There was a lot of chaff around a nebulous third terrorist (neither he nor Nichols knew how to make a bomb). Once again, upper echelons of the FBI, with a little prodding from the President perhaps, rushed to make a show trial and declare ‘case closed.’ Jayna Davis documents a meticulous investigation which undercovered Iraqi Involvement with facts and clarity in The Third Terrorist.

Davis makes a credible case that they learned through an Iraqi team – if I remember correctly, that was Nichols’ trip to the Philippines. It woulda been uncomfortable to bring that into the prosecution when they had a nice tidy case to wrap things up.

1992 FBI has 2 of its worst moments in handling domestic irregulars.
1995 Iraqi agents help American terrorists p’d off at the FBI to destroy a symbol of American federal authority.

But if you’ve ever worked with the Fire Marshal (and understand that mentality) it’s a short leap for many to cross the line, both in the heat of the moment or to “show ’em!” as a demonstration of power.
