China is so far up our wazoos, including our government’s. The spy balloon is the least of it.
Anyway, as we’ve seen, most of government doesn’t take classified info seriously anyway, except the info they falsely classify to hide their embarrassments and dirty tricks. That stays hidden.

This is a question I’ve asked myself many times — and I apply this question to every single House committee hearing/investigation, which always ends in the same result: nutt‘in, honey. But I wouldn’t worry too much about China getting clued in on Congress. They already know that game is played, and as for finding out the inside dope, a member of Congress with a D behind their name already told his Chinese contact all they need to know. Am I right, Mr. Swalwell?

It seems SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY when you’re talking about CHINA, which already knows more than most people’d like to admit…AND, if it isn’t important enough to care what they hear, why TALK CHINA??

About 15 years ago, someone mentioned her little daughter in public school in Santa Monica was taking CHINESE…”Not Spanish or French?” i asked? I guess her school knew something we don’t know.
I had a Chinese high schooler for a year…..his name was CHRIS and I asked where he got that American name “We ALL have American names, we get them in kindergarten…”
They study from 8 to 5, with little time for phys ed….he happened NOT to be the sharpest knife in the drawer but they get WELL educated, while ours are getting high.

Well, at this point in time, it’s way too late. All we can do is hope China has a better plan ’cause its coming and there is little we can do about it. We are way past being able to save ourselves. Trump would’ve still had his work cut out, but now it’s over.
Consider: When Obama took office in 2008 the national debt was $10 trillion.
Now, barely 15 years later, it has more than tripled! And gaining momentum.
That, if nothing else, will do us in without China firing a shot. Let’s just hope it will be that easy.

Did Congress hold all these ‘hearings’ when we were kids? Yes, I remember some, but lack perspective to know if it was always this way. Doesn’t seem like. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention. And maybe they weren’t until there were cameras to pose for.
Assuming there is nothing new here, Bunk and SF + 1. The intel China will get out of this is how the American government is posturing for the next election. For you old Star Trek fans, we’re already in the Tholian Web.

HERE’s the deal; I’m starting to hear that some Twitter execs like Roth could get some jail time if things proceed in the direction from the hearing….which surprises me.

I had a liberal Bible Study friend today mention to a small group of us how she’d met a med tech who was kind of nuts…believes in aliens, etc….then my friend added “…so many CONSPIRACY THEORIES out there” so I figured he was also a MAGA TRUMP guy….and OH, it ticks me off when I hold my tongue because we don’t discuss politics there 🙂
Ya, CONSPIRACY THEORIES he probably mentioned to her in his craziness were things like COVID drugs which actually WORK, and voter fraud…but hey, if Twitter or any on the Left say “CONSPIRACY”, they don’t work and it never happened, they win. W#$(*&@Q(#$&@(Q*#&$

Our group tiptoed into politics with a member helping a student’s tuition at university. She was clearly disgusted that her friend’s daughter she was helping – a legal immigrant – had to pay so much tuition when her school did not charge illegals. I’ll talk to her later. It’s not appropriate to go down that trail there. It’s hard in places like bible study, but elsewhere one is tempted to ask “is it a conspiracy theory or conspiracy reporting? Some people get them mixed up.”

BAYSIDER, it’s not unusual for politics to come up……..Thankfully, it can be thwarted on time…I’ve never had a headstrong nut who insisted…we had one in Sylvia’s group about 6 years ago and she was asked to leave (It was about the gay thing when Brook was still TD)
