TRUMP: you simply won’t believe this one

He’s felt this way for 25 years.  He’s 100% right on this video from then.   I think this will surprise you.  Big time.

Wow. Pretty consistent on his message regarding trade. I never knew he spoke of running even back then. I heard Trump described as our middle finger to the establishment of the Republican party, and I like that description. Does anybody seriously see an inch worth of difference between Harry Reid and McConnell? By the way, Z, who won that election season from the video? Jesse Jackson?

I didn’t know about this interview because I’ve never watched Orca. Thank you for sharing it.
Donald Trump did just do a good thing, he signed a pledge to not go Third Party if he doesn’t get the nomination.

  3. Whoa! His message about trade ,b>has been consistent.

That pledge just signed cuts both ways. If Trump should get the nomination, the others have committed to support him. Not that the pledge — which looks like a kindergarten graduation certificate, BTW — means anything; it’s not legally binding.

BTW, did any of you notice that the pledge was dated August 3, 2015. The one that Trump signed, anyway. Were all the pledges dated with the wrong month?

  4. Trump signed a new pledge with the correct date.

There is all this fear about Trump no being presidential. We would do very well with any of the Republicans running, except maybe cruz. Any country that can survive the obama rule can survive anything. Can someone name one thing he has done to help the majority of the American people?

Now those on medicare can look forward to their premiums increasing to help pay for obamacare, tax increases to pay for additional enrollment to food stamps and continued racial unrest because obama supports it as part of his agenda.

We can last another year, right?

What I love about Trump is that he plays to win. It doesn’t matter what he does, he’s in it to win it. If that isn’t an example of American exceptionalism, I don’t know what is.

When I was a little girl, the adults around me never let me win a game unless I actually won it. I learned tactics and strategy that way and soon learned how to win on my own. I was blessed with these wonderful grown ups in my life that taught me life lessons when I thought I was just playing.

Silverlady, a little off topic on today’s post, but interesting, for sure.

Hi, skud…you make some very good points. I’m curious; what havE you against Cruz?

Cube..ORCA is good:) When my sis is telling me a story that includes gossipy stuff, etc., and wants to add something in about something else, she’ll say “But that’s for another Oprah”

Jerry…interesting that Trump praised Jackson’s candidacy talents, huh?
I thought a tad more of him when I heard that he’s been consistent, too, which I believe means he’s watched VERY closely what’s been going on all these years and maybe from that has got this fire in his belly to FIX THINGS.

Sparky and AOW…….it’s the truth that this pledge is not binding…actually, Carol Costello on CNN asked another lib “What, is there some kind of Republican police going to come get him?”
But it was hugely symbolic and rather important, I think.

I’m a bit stunned because Rove can’t be happy at ALL about this and I’m thinking he and Preibus are BIG BUDDIES.
    Interesting times, folks.

This really shouldn’t surprise us one bit. Hasn’t he been saying he’s finally just had it with how our Government has been run? That means this feeling has been festering in him for decades and he has finally had it. If you all remember I took him seriously right from the get-go.
    GO, DONALD! (-: 🙂

bocopro; I agree on Rove. I used to respect him but I don’t now. I really stopped when he was SO nasty about Cruz’s impending candidacy months ago…he was on FOX talking about Cruz in very negative ways and I thought “Wow, he’s against anybody not strictly GOP!”

Mal….are we EVER going to hear less ‘I TOLD YOU SO’ from you ? (smile!) Yes, you have liked Trump. Heck, even I liked him way before he got serious about running, I liked what he was saying………
I wouldn’t take from all this, however, that everybody’s jumping on the Trump Train…..
Still, I posted this video because it IS good to know this guy was paying attention even back then…he does know the American economy and how we’ve been screwing it for the last twenty years.

    Kid…isn’t it?

See, what he does with his usually more lengthy and erudite/very funny comments is emails ME and I write back and he copies MY emails into HIS comments and gets compliments. He’s really NOT that bright. He trolls for comments!
    (smile) HAAAAAAAA!!!
Mustang does, too……these men just can’t think on their own.
    Trust me.
Mustang can write posts like no other, but he really can’t think.

    (oh, that WAS fun!)

Now on the SERIOUS SIDE: MAL!! MAL MAL MAL…….I have no doubt Trump’s popularity will peak……….Not sure it can last a year.
He’s now said he’s going to jump all over Carson and I find that part of Trump’s personality disgustingly despicable. He’s scared because Carson’s the other non-politico who’s REALLY gaining in the polls with about 1/10 the money Trump has behind him.
Happily, I doubt Trump will make Carson look bad; quite the contrary.

I hope you know that most of us DO like a lot of what Trump says…..and are eager to hear him back it up with facts/details, and some pinch of humility and class. That’s not TOO much to ask for in a president, is it?

Seriously Z, I agree about keeping things civil within the party, and I hope they do. I also believe there has been a lot of discussion along those lines behind the GOP curtain and that Trump has been so “advised”. We’re really looking forward to the next debate on the 16th, esp. since Carly has been allowed to join the group. Hey! This should be better than a Vegas show!

What has Trump been advised by the GOP? Who knows for sure, Z. I’m only figuring they were forced to consider him seriously when his numbers kept climbing. They probably began by advising him if he wants to be taken seriously he needs to act more presidential. They probably also don’t like his idea of ridding Washington of lobbyists, but now that its been called to the attention of the public they have to learn to deal with it. Both parties have been taken aback by The Donald because they all know that, besides being a loud mouth, he has hit a nerve with the common people so they are forced to work with him. Frankly, I’m enjoying the whole thing because they’ve all forgotten who they are suppose to be working for.

In a survey yesterday, when Trump is against every other repub he beats them.
    Except Carson, who trounces Trump.

    Trump is pro-America.
    That is his appeal.
In my mind, his only appeal.

As for the video, he looked and sounded a lot more presidential then.

Ed, he did seem more presidential then, right. As for Carson …yes, he’s the other non politico; both sides of the aisle should learn from THIS that AMERICANS WANT CHANGE!
of course, liberals are too fearful to branch out and support non DNC folks…and they call THEMSELVES the “Big TENT?” WHO ARE THEY FREAKING KIDDING??? 🙂
