SO LIZ CHENEY MIGHT RUN FOR PRESIDENT “TO PROTECT AMERICA FROM DONALD TRUMP”. No huge surprise, I suppose….except I’m thinking she’ll get smashed to smithereens in her own state on their primary day: August 16, (I wish it was sooner), so good luck winning a presidency.
Sure she wants to protect America from Trump! If she’s believing all the testimonies, I can see why. I’ve watched too much of them, too. I’m not one to believe all testimony under oath is always true, by the way, so I’m still open…. But, mostly, I believe this ‘hearing’ is a complete SHAM. You can’t have ONLY THOSE WHO DESPISE WHAT WE’RE SEEING NOW IS A DEFENDANT IN TRUMP. You have to have cross examination in hearings, and when Pelosi denied McCarthy the likes of Jordan and Banks on the panel, I don’t blame McCarthy for saying “Fine, you’re clearly not going to honor our request to have non Trump hating Republicans here so….go ahead” …I can’t stand McCarthy but I think he knew he was going to get nowhere. And he did. Which, I have to add, is usually where he is.

HOW LIZ CHENEY COULD PARTICIPATE IN A PANEL LIKE THIS WITH ONLY ONE SIDE REPRESENTED IN THE QUESTIONING IS WHY SHE SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO RUN…….I DON’T CARE THAT HER VOTING RECORD IS SO SOLIDLY CONSERVATIVE……HOW SHE COULD PARTICIPATE IN THIS SHAM IS BEYOND ME AND REASON ENOUGH TO GUFFAW AT THE VERY IDEA OF HER RUNNING.

Good Fargin Grief !! Who goes through the charade of an insurrection to overthrow an election in such an amateurish way in front of cameras without any weapons? Grease us twice, the way you do that kinda thing is quietly, stealthily, in the wee hours, with combat-trained guys in cammies carrying automatic rifles.
Despite statements and depositions broadcast by the Jan 6 “investigation” team, no solid evidence exists that Donald Trump turned anybody into a toad that day, and the rumor that he fired his AK-47 into a squad of Capitol policemen before ordering his driver to ram the metope of the Hall of Justice is apparently untrue.
Also, the growing number of “me-too” women alleging that Trump tried to grab their steering “wheels” is clearly nothing more than a political hatchet job, a variant of the old “Have you stopped kicking your dog yet?” And that stuff about Trump grabbing the pilot’s yoke on AF1 to make a perfect practice strafing run over Nancy Pelosi’s house . . . nah, doubtful.
But Liz Cheney, useful idiot for House Democrats and MSNBC, has still another huge billboard begging for the voters of Wyoming to “Vote Me Out Of Office” with her joining their interminable attack on the 2nd Amendment.
Like Sniffer Joey, the real question here is whether Cheney just doesn’t understand the political ramifications of her witch hunt, or – she knows exactly what she’s doing . . . hard to know which is more frightening.
What’s really wild about it all, tho, is that DJT has been gone now for a year and a half, during which time Biden has almost completely destroyed the economy, the military, and international trust in the US – but it’s still all Orangeman’s fault.

Gotta tell ya, folks . . . I have full faith that despite their having a greater advantage for mid-term 2022 and genelec 2024 election, the Republicans will rise to the challenge and find a way to salvage defeat from the jaws of victory.

Last night, I got home from a dinner party and my neighbor across the street said he’d left something on my front porch from him and his wife. (Since my husband died, they haven’t missed a holiday gift, even shamrocks on St Pat’s Day…seriously>..they’re amazingly kind and generous neighbors)…Since I enter my place from the back/kitchen door (parking is downstairs), I opened my front door and THERE IS A BRAND NEW, BEAUTIFULLY WRAPPED MY PILLOW! Seriously! AND I happen to want to knock LIndell’s block OFF after all the commercials, but I USE a My Pillow and LOVE it…and was just getting to having to buy myself a new one (I’ve had it a LONG time) and bammo: There one was!!! Funny you’d mention him.
I happen to like the Emu commercials but it’s NATURE’S BALANCE ads I hate, and the Huckabee sleep aid whose name I can never remember but I probably should buy, and Namath, Jimmy Walker, AND, obviously LIZ CHENEY!!!

I can’t figure out what is going on in Liz Cheney’s mind. She’s been right to call the Democrats “the party of anti-Semitism, the party of infanticide, the party of socialism.” With credentials like that there should be room for an actual discussion.
But I know from the get go, her father could not stand Donald Trump. His animus toward Trump was shown earlier in his condemnations of Trump’s order to exclude travelers from some (by no means all) Muslim majority countries who had been the source of virtually all the ecclesiastical troublemakers from Islam. This was a shaded and nuanced policy tracing trouble to its geographic origins, not remotely the lie of “a Muslim ban.” Cheney should have known better.
I always considered him the adult in the room of the Bush era, but started re-thinking this. Ignoring Trump’s strong record on constitutional issues, the elder Cheney accused him of the opposite, bemoaning a lack of “leadership in the Republican Party to restore the Constitution” when energetic efforts toward that restoration were happening before his very eyes, albeit by a man he called “a maniac.”
This line from the New Republic opens the door a bit: “There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution,” said the daughter (Liz) of a man who facilitated the illegal invasion of Iraq and the shredding of Americans’ civil liberties.” The elder Cheney has a legacy to hold on to, but it’s partly built on shifting sand which was in danger of being de-stabilized by a hefty dose of Trump’s reckless propensity to call out the Naked Emperor. Trump stood squarely for national interests and a civic spirit that was receding and to America’s harm. Cheney amped up domestic spying on steroids and lied to congress about it.
Somewhere in here is the global house of card building in which The Don would not participate.

Politicians say and vote how they think they need to – to get re-elected. Most votes aren’t meaningful. The party’s get together and decide how they want the vote to turn out and a number of them can vote opposing but not so may as to change the party vote. It’s all rigged.
Interesting how the dems don’t have to play so much of the game with their ‘non-discerning’ voters who either support the destruction or are not even paying attention.

Liz Cheney is one of those people who will shift parties if that’s what it takes to become “president.” But can you even begin to imagine the behind-the-scenes Clinton machinations should she actually do that? It would be hellishly entertaining.
Liz Cheney announces that she’s moving to the Democratic Party one day, and her bid for president the next, and on the third day, police find her in the driveway with a bullet in her head — an apparent suicide. Heh.
Now for the fantasy part: on day four, police arrest the Hildebeast as part of a murder-for-hire scheme that’s been going on for the past forty years.

Liz picked the wrong state (Wyoming) to run. She has a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning there because they enjoy a 72% GOP populace. It was stupid of her to pick that state but I’m so happy she did!

MUSTANG! I think that would happen to ANY WOMAN who possibly stood in the way of HILLARY NOT BEING THE FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT! I agree with you! You forgot that odd little beige car seen at SO many Clinton-related killings, though! I read PRIMARY COLORS and it was quite amazing to read about the early CLinton gang and how a little car would appear and then disappear after Clinton associates ‘accidentally’ died!!

Dunno, Z. Are they from Wyoming? I don’t know that much about them, only a bit about her dad. Whatever, I can’t see how she or ANY Dem can make it, given the low rating of their party right now. Its a self-inflicted wound that won’t be easy to heal. However she handles it, it’ll be an uphill battle for her.

MUSTANG, if you see this, I was wondering if you saw Tucker tonight…..you were talking recently about the awful meds our kids are being given and he said it’s up 3000%!! And suicide is up…etc…there is NOTHING good from most of those drugs!!!

BAYSIDER…the biggest problem, in my mind, is that these drugs steal JOY…they literally don’t allow strong feelings and it’s not just negative, ‘naughty little boy’ stuff, it’s JOY, it’s normal happiness and excitement. Even naughtiness is normal!!! Yes, how do we overcome suffering if we’re drugged down? It’s horrible.
