UN Plans….Sustainable Development Goals?

UN leader

Did you see THIS?   You’d think they’re joking when you read things like this, wouldn’t you?  These are, apparently, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs…..):

“achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities”—all by 2030.

They also include such curious milestones as “by 2020, halve the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents”

WHAT?  Jobs for EVERYONE!  And we are going to legislate less car accidents!?  WHAT?

The virtually unaltered SDGs were hailed by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as  “a defining moment in human history” as he opened the summit meeting on Sept. 25 that introduced the goals, as well as a “universal, integrated and transformative vision for a better world.”  Two days later President Barack Obama pledged U.S. support for the effort “whatever it takes.”

Do all of you shake a little when you hear Obama say “Whatever it takes?”   What might that take, Barack?  Tell us….”WHATEVER it TAKES?”  REALLY?  Maybe someone might want to vote on some of this?  We’re America, we don’t support the UN with “whatever it takes” to accomplish leftwing rubbish, remember?

Thoughts, friends?

    So why do we foot 22% of the bill to support this organization which seems to work in our disfavor? Isn’t it like shooting ourselves in the foot? I bet that B.O. thinks that [he] should be Secretary General in order to punish [us] even more than he has as POTUS!

    Well, I have about a gazillion things I might say, most of them already said by me or someone else over the past 7 years. I wrote this just after his re-election. It’s been updated two or three times, and you may have seen it on various blogs. Re-write of Longfellow’s “The Village Blacksmith”:

    The National Black Mistake

    Under a spreading scandal cloud
    The Kenyan phony sits;
    His lies are big and long and loud;
    No budget he submits.
    He’ll cast disgrace upon us all
    Until he calls it quits.

    His hair is kinky, short, and gray,
    His face a dirty tan;
    His smile is false and pretentious;
    He lies whene’er he can,
    And thinks a speech can fix it all,
    For he has no real plan.

    Week in, week out, from prepared lines
    We hear his minions crow;
    We hear how “green” is good for us
    And warming we must slow,
    While all the things he recommends
    Just cause our debt to grow.

    His wife and daughters flit around
    Like regal VIPs,
    And gala parties are designed
    For black celebrities,
    While White House tours are suspended
    For reg’lar families.

    He goes some Sundays to a church
    To project his façade
    That he is Christian, not Muslim,
    Which some consider odd
    In light of how he seems to think
    That he is really God.

    The measure of a man is known
    By whom he calls his friends,
    And tricks he justifies to bring
    About his desired ends.
    But Eric, Janet, Rice, and Hill
    Are those he most defends?

    So spinning, lying, denying
    Through eighteen months he’ll go;
    Each day with some new scandal
    His incompetence will show,
    Until he finally becomes
    Ex-Precedente BO.

    Thanks, thanks to you, our left-wing friends
    For what you have taught us!
    That half-black rookie senators
    Are lousy as PotUS.
    And we were correct when we said:
    “He’ll be calamitous.”

    And as for Ban Ki Moon, wasn’t he a volunteer brain donor for Pyongyang back in the day?

    I believe the commitment to reduce auto accidents in half is via self-driving electric cars, which they are working on at the present time. The occupants will then be able to safely text, talk on the phone, etc. all they want.

    They can legislate fewer accidents by imposing restrictions on automobiles; hardly anyone is ever killed in a car that is only capable of 15 miles per hour. They can restrict driver’s licenses to those individuals between 20 and 55, everyone else must take a public conveyance, or they could outlaw privately owned vehicles not engaged in commercial activity. Sustainability (also, Agenda 21) is the perfect world for leftist swine; they control everyone and everything and everyone lives happily ever after. Or else. And because people are living longer due to medical technology, we’ll have to kill off the old folks to make room for younger people who “get in step” with the Marxist ideal of the Democratic Party. Logan’s Run, anyone?

    Imagine China and India spewing filth into the air for years and WE are the ones paying through the nose, as if there’s some glass wall that stops their smut and keeps it only over THEIR people? What a laugh our idiot government is.

    Mustang…you are SO RIGHT. We should expect huge restrictions in the coming years..

    Mal; maybe, but as Mustang and I say, you can’t legislate safety or goodness. Yes, helmets and seat belts help, those are just WISE, but we can expect a lot more junk that is NOT WISE in the next few years, right?

    Silverfiddle..POT IN EVERY CHICKEN! And every American kid…because pot is GOOD for them and no worse than booze and AREN’t WE COOL? (yuck)

    Bob, Me, too……now we’re sounding like Michelle Obama! Oh, wait…she was only proud after they elected her ridiculous husband! 🙂

    Vrag…sublime thinking there….amazing. Thanks!! GOOGLE CARS, yes. Brilliant.

    John…was it Obama who paid off the UN all the back money we owed?

    JMB: check this out re UNITED NATIONS DEBT: (I’m not sure how old this is but it’s not new information)

    Click to access us-debt-to-the-un.pdf

    It includes this:
    “After passage of the 2009 appropriations bills, U.S. debt for peacekeeping alone was over $1.3 billion. These arrears make the United States the largest debtor to the United Nations and threaten its ability to leverage the international community toward achieving key U.S. national security priorities.”

    Are they KIDDING? WE are in arrears like we use the UN for PEACEKEEPING? WHERE??WHEN?

    Can someone unravel this for us!??

    I don’t mind the idea of self-driving cars as long as all the idiots are forced to commute in one, and they are programmed to pull off the road when approached by a faster moving cehicle. and while I drive my big mancat truck down the road, pushing them out of my way.

    They will be screaming MANIAC and I’ll be screaming back MORON. Sounds like fun !
