Trump’s Presidency

Now that (ARE YOU KIDDING ME??) we won, we’ve discussed this before, but who do you think will be on his cabinet, and his closest advisors?

Who’s on the Supreme Court?

What will be the Top THREE things Trump will do first…realistically…?

Michael Moore’s calling for impeachment, and idiots are in the streets burning flags and protesting.  Where were the Republicans when we were SO upset, completely heart broken that Obama’d won, a man of almost no experience and a platform that was filled with nothing but stupidity?  Did we burn flags, march, and threaten impeachment?  Such different people we are, huh?  Thank God.  But wait….did you see THIS?  Yup…barely a mention of the flag burners, but this is headline news!  They represent US in NO WAY.  Thank GOD we know the truth.

And, please God..TAKE HIS TWITTER ACCOUNT AWAY…this is SO unprofessional and stupid…always rising to the bait.   ugh

My rant last nite revised his “first 100 days” to-do list. First day priorities were to get a true conservative in there to replace Scalia, IMMEDIATELY. Many of the other things he wants and needs to do would be held up in the high court without a solid 5-4.

Second, cancel ALL funding to sanctuary cities. Clear message.

Third, get rid of Comey & Lynch ASAP. They’re contaminated and demonstrably unreliable.

Fourth, suspend all aid to nations who consistently vote against us in the UN.

Fifth, suspend immigration from any nation from which non-vetted unknowns can enter the U.S.

Sixth, begin work on rescinding the Iran nuke “deal” and re-imposing sanctions.

Seventh, direct LEOs and courts in all states, territories, and districts to begin immediately deporting aliens who are known felons.

I’d also like to see charges of obstruction brought against Harry Reid. And the best punishment for the Clintons would be to confiscate all monies and holdings of their “foundation” and distribute them amongst certified charities.

My list is much longer (of course) and addresses such things as the tax code, the VA, fossil-fuel regulations, climate change, cyber warfare, hints of withdrawing from the UN, eliminating redundancy in federal agencies and programs, and some kind of overhaul of the ACA.

Simply repealing ACA would trigger lawsuits clogging courts and chaos crashing hospitals. But in the end, we need to eliminate ridiculously punitive figures for malpractice and other suits involving personal “injuries” such as the hot coffee thing at MacDonald’s. Health care needs to be put back into the private sector where competition will regulate prices naturally, but the costs MUST come down for ordinary tests and procedures, and malpractice insurance drives up those fees more than anything else.

Oh, and I’d like for a black ops raid to kidnap Kim Fat Un and put him in Gitmo.

Cruz on the court, Bolton as SecState. I’d say Christie for AttyGen, but he’d drag a lotta baggage in with him.

Clean out the Justice Department–The stench of corruption is overwhelming.

Restore the good reputations of the good men and women at the FB I by demanding the resignation of Director James Comey and his #2 Andrew mcCabe. Their shameful performances have unfairly besmirched the reputation of the FBI and the career professionals who serve there. Comey and McCabe pulled off the near-impossible task of making both the Democrats and the Republicans think they were working for the other party. Flush them.

Trump’s <a href = "http://www.npr.org/2016/11/09/501451368/here-is-what-donald-trump-wants-to-do-in-his-first-100-days"<contract, which he rolled out in Gettysburg, is a pretty nice roadmap, although I don’t really care about term limits and it’ll never happen, Keep reading down, though, and there’s some good stuff in there.

I just hope all the Movement Conservative, bloviators and pundits don’t start yapping and dogpiling him before it even gets going. Government is messy work, and propagandists from all sides will be blaring out every foible, stumble, false start and perceived act of treason.

ACA, as bocopro said, is not a simple thing you can simply pull the plug on. They will have to do it smartly, and in many stages. I can just hear the “Burn Down the Government!” rightwing activists now, screaming when ACA is still standing on Day 2.

Patience, my friends. Yes, we cannot go back to sleep, and we gotta birddog those GOP politicians, including El Donaldo, but let’s stay focues on the big picture, keep it all in perspective, and realize nobody ever gets everything he or she wants.

Heard Mike Hucklebee make an interesting statement. He said when he was Governor, he demanded a resignation letter the day he appointed someone and filed it away in case it was ever needed. That would be a good thing for Trump to do..

Anyway, immediately fire all the federal prosecutors like bill clinton did day one, Fire all the federal management and replace them with people charged to fix it all and with clear timelines and performance metrics. FBI,CIA,HS, IRS, Immigration, all of it becuase none of them have been doing their job the last 8 years. I’d like to see people like lois lerner get proisecuted. Oh, and assassinate geroge soros like they did Scalia.

You would hope that the opposition would behave civilly after defeat. But this is not the ‘loyal opposition’ of times not all that long ago. These are different people. They are an amalgam of miscreants, thugs, criminals and ne-er-do-wells who will do and say anything, legal or illegal, if it advances their cause.

And when their agenda is thwarted, they do not react the way you and I do, Z. We face an opposition that will break the law, and will obviously support an out-and-out criminal to champion their causes.

We can expect nothing less than an all-out effort to undermine the newly elected leader of the U.S. by these thugs. Call them hypocrites, call them anything you wish, but do not call them patriots. They are out to destroy our country the way it was founded. We must oppose them at every turn, and not consider them our moral equivalents, as they are not.

Most of them, anyway. Sure, there are a small group of ‘loyal opposition’ folk, but they are now in the minority of the Democrat ranks.

I had that very discussion today about young people. As I told the guy, I cannot fault youth for their youthful ignorance, but I CAN and DO fault their athlete role models, Hollywood role models, singer role models, teachers, and professors for their mind-boggling ignorance of how the world works.

As a young man, I had many more liberal than conservative leanings. In fact, I was living proof of the old axiom “if you’re not a liberal at 25 you have no heart, and if you’re not a conservative at 35 you have no brain,” which has been attributed to everyone from George Bernard Shaw to Winston Churchill to Will Rogers to Anonymous.

By the time I had daughters who were becoming young women, I realized that many of the people in the world are savage and evil and that socialism just don’t work on a national scale. For the life of me I can’t understand how someone like Bernie Sanders, apparently a well-educated and thoughtful man, fails to note the abject failures of that system in virtually every major nation state in which it’s been tried: Venezuela, Cuba, Soviet Union, East Germany, France, China. As Maggie Thatcher reminded us, the concept looks good on paper, but sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.

I don’t pretend to be any more intelligent than Hillary, or Bernie, or Soetoro, but I can read, and the facts are there — failure after failure after failure — but they keep saying that it’ll work IF we can only get the right people in charge, and (insert name here) is the one. Look at every bankrupt and failing city in the US and you’ll find it’s been run by Democrats for at least 3 decades. Sheeesh! Doesn’t a $20 TRILLION national debt ring any clangers for those guys?

It’s just like this Islam thing that’s going on. Good-hearted people in prosperous nations are welcoming Muslims as a cheap work force to clean their commodes, haul away their trash, do all their dirty jobs, and behave themselves while they’re at it. Then they watch their citizens being mugged, their streets becoming dangerous, their daughters being raped, their churches being converted to mosque safehouses for terrorists, and they place the blame on all the wrong factors.

I’m Caucasian, and I’m STILL waiting for my White Privilege ship to come in. Nobody GAVE me promotions in the military: I had to perform to high standards to get recommended to take a competitive exam and then PASS the damned thing before even being CONSIDERED for promotion. Nobody GAVE me a commission; I just made a name for myself by going that extra length to do more of a better job than the guys around me and finally got noticed for it. Nobody GAVE me a college degree. I had to read the books, attend the classes, write the papers, and never once threw, caught, kicked, hit, or spiked a ball in the process, except on the golf course, where I had to pay for the “privilege” of playing.

My wife is non-white, and our kids are hybrids, and they certainly have no privilege other than those afforded everyone in this country by the sacrifices of guys who gave their time, their loyalty, and sometimes their lives in defense of its Constitution.

Feh! on their delicate sensibilities, their self-loathing, their whiny need for safe spaces. When they finally crawl out of Mom’s basement with their degree in fine arts that it took them 6 years to acquire and enter the real world at the age of 28 or so, they’ll be completely unprepared to succeed in it, much less pay back those student loans on a salary for asking customers “Would you like fries with that?” even AT $15/hour.

    I weep for my grandchildren.

Again, I agree with you, Bocopro, about how seemingly educated folks can still buy into Socialism when proof of its failure is evident, if they have been paying any attention. I guess having an MS or PHD behind their name doesn’t assure them of possessing common sense, does it?

FW — only ones I’d be suspicious of are Pirro and Napolitano. Frankly, I consider Bachmann a bit of a loon, and I’d really prefer Giuliani be more of an advisor than head of an agency or department. In fact, he’s already said many times that he’s not only NOT looking for a job, but is quite happy doing what he’s doing now.

But what I’d REALLY like to see him do is eliminate a whole lotta gummint jobs, beginning with the Parasites of the Potomac.

JMB — I had a CO once who’d been an enlisted man. One of his favorite sayings about education would come up with ensigns and ringknockers — “He trips over his textbooks.”

He also cautioned his junior officers not to “overthink” things and not to let their education get in the way of their leadership. He told me that he thought I read too much SciFi.
