Sunday Faith Blog

I give up, Lord.  Whatever You want to happen will happen.  I care very much, but I cannot allow myself to get tied up in knots over this election.

America is not the same place;  many of her people have ignored you and I believe your patience has been astonishing.  I do not believe you will ever forsake us but I believe we are seeing what happens when we turn our backs on you, all brought on by us with help from the darker side.  It’s pure evil we are experiencing and we know evil will never win but we sure are concerned.

I pray for your wisdom, for your patience, for your Spirit to come down upon America and remind us of when things were moral, when things were better and WHY and cause our hearts to seek that again.  They were never quite perfect but they sure were better.  I know that because I’ve lived that.

We love you, we  pray for your guidance, for your love, for you to turn us around and upward…away from hate, greed and immorality.  We pray these things in your Son’s Holy name.  Amen.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  James 4:7

Have a beautiful Sunday…be blessed..

So Trump called somebody a DUMB BASTARD at a rally yesterday? unreal. And Fauci is an “idiot”? These are among the many things we THINK but don’t say, especially if we’re president.
And I believe this is one of the reasons the ALWAYS REPUBLICAN New Hampshire paper is now endorsing a Democrat for the first time in something like 150 years 😦

    From MY FRIEND JEAN:

“Z, Thank you for this wonderful post. If I weren’t a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, I’d be like the many out there who are sadly committing suicide, murder or drinking themselves to death. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!”

Of course, I am not a “Come, Lord Jesus” person; probably because as strong as my faith is, I LOVE LIFE on EARTH and don’t feel quite ready yet, but I sure do feel reassured that when he DOES come, I hope to be with Him on His way back up! HA!!

Jean is certainly right about so many Americans taking their lives, beating their kids, or drugging and/or drinking far too much during COVID and the political angst…… 😦

I watched your video of Sleepy Joe, Z, but in all fairness it didn’t show his complete comment, starting with “in the second place”, etc. then cut off at the end, i.e. maybe taken out of context like they do to us. Was it?

Mal, yes, and he probably means the 500 lawyers he’s got ready in case he loses……they were probably read if Obama’d lost, too.
Whatever he means, it’s disgusting. This is America; we shouldn’t need ANY of that…no lawyers, no fraud.

Thanks for posting that verse from James. I remember a friend and I were discussing free will vs. God’s control over us. It is always a fun discussion. When I questioned that God’s hand was controlling our every movement, he remarked, “It’s optional.” Of course it is optional. That’s part of our free will, to put our faith in God and not just sit back and wait for his direction, but to constantly pray that he will guide our decisions. We still have to work the problems.

I know that the best decisions in my life did not come from my intellect, but rather were the last option, or an opportunity appears that solves a problem. As a country, we should take the option of not only praying for our nation, but doing everything in our power to achieve the right outcome.

Today, I was watching part of President Trump’s peaceful protest in Manchester, NH. I was really surprised that he brought up the current persecution of the Armenians, and that he would straighten out the situation. He said the fix was easy, and I believe him. Now that he has the taste of success with peace talks, and war talks, he knows that he holds all the big cards and how to use them.

President Trump is the man for the times. No matter how much we chafe with listening to his tweets and brashness, he is the only man in history that could do what he has done, and can do what needs to be done.

BOB, I agree about TRUMP. HOnestly, I can barely stand his personality (though I do not think that IS his personality, I believe his base has that brash personality and he’s playing to them because it’s SURE not playing to anyone else, sadly) but I SURE DO LIKE WHAT HE DOES AS PRESIDENT.

As an Armenian myself, I hope he does do something, though I’m a tad ashamed to say I AM AMERICAN FIRST and while I’ll never admire Turkey for what it did and is continuing to do now against Armenians through Azerbaijan’s actions, I believe he’s doing this for votes, as he did mention Armenia the other day at his desk and mentioned that there were lots of “INCREDIBLE” Armenians in America….but whatever it takes, I’m happy for a peaceful and fair resolution.

And JAMES is a favorite book….not that popular, but so much good stuff in it. Submitting doesn’t mean losing ourselves, it means going to Him first for help…which most of us don’t do, but when we do, WOW can it help. Thanks for your input….it always moves me…

I would not say “Trump’s base” likes the personality stuff. I think more so, they just don’t give a damn. They see what he is doing for America.

I envision a time in America though when some cute young girl asks “Mommy why did we go to socialism?” and mommy says “IT WAS THOSE DAMN TRUMP TWEETS !!!!” lol. It would be par for the course.

Re: the Armenians in Azerbaijan they never point out why the majority are Armenians. Its because when Armenia was part of the Soviet Union, that land had been part of Armenia and Russia gave it to Azerbaijan as part of a peace making deal, akin to what Israel has had to put up with over the years. Both Israel and Armenia are situated among Arab (Muslim) nations and have had to put up with wars.

MAL, interesting that you’d compare to Israel…I think this Armenian/Azerbaijan thing is very Israel/Palestinians……Of course, that WHOOOOLE area was the Armenian Empire years and years ago and it’s probably ours, and I BELIEVE we won it in a war not that many years back, but it’s tough to say who gets what.
I just wish Turkey and Russia weren’t involved…that can never add up to anything good.

And I believe Trump could have handled this IF he’d win…which I doubt 😦

  16. The Full Biden:
“What’s your message to the folks who have not yet voted or do not yet have a plan to vote. And part two, for the 50 million Americans who’ve already voted, what can they do over the last ten days to help make sure that you’re the next President of the United States?” Pfeiffer asked Biden.

Biden returned word salad at first, saying “Well, first of all, you know, uh, what really rankles, uh, my opponent is I say that, uh, the thing that bothers him most is he’s not a patch on Barack’s jeans. I mean, you know Barack was one hell of a president, and I tell you what, man, what an honor it was — I think you guys believe it, too — to serve with him. I mean, incredible honor. And, uh, I’m not being solicitous. I really mean that. Um, he had more integrity in his little finger than most people have in their whole body and he had a backbone like a ramrod. Has one.””Secondly, we’re in a situation where we have put together — and you’d [sic] guys, did it for our, the president Obama’s administration, before this — we have put together, I think, the most extensive and and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics. What the president is trying to do is discourage people from voting by implying their vote won’t be counted, it can’t be counted, we’re gonna challenge it, and all these things. If enough people vote, it’s gonna overwhelm the system. You see what’s happening now. You guys know it as well as I do. You see the long, long lines in early voting. You see the millions of people who have already cast a ballot.”

ED…”….the most extensive and and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”
What a ‘voter fraud organization’ IS is in question…As I said, this could mean an org. against it (all the lawyers they’ve hired is astonishing…what is it 400 ?)….I really doubt even this dork would brag about cheating. ..”We’re gonna challenge it” sounds more like the lawyers are getting involved more than fraud.
Thanks for the text…very good to know this stuff better.

Z, Russia has been helpful in the past so its a good thing, actually. Russia was there during the genocide in 1915 and accepted fleeing Armenians. Both are Orthodox Christians, as is Greece. If it hadn’t been for Russia, there simply wouldn’t be an Armenia today because Turkey sure didn’t want to mess with Russia!
