Get rid of Mike Johnson? NOPE

Here’s what we do, instead of following Marjorie Taylor Greene’s insistence that Mike Johnson is vacated…….. She thinks he caved.  She’s entitled.  Has she even MET Hakeem Jeffries?  Has she SEEN his evil hooded eyes and heard his withering insults to anything Conservative?   Does she understand what she’s doing?

I know some of you agree with her;  you’ve said so here.   And I understand, in a way.  The fact that America’s popping something like $95 BILLION FOR OTHER COUNTRIES when we have SO much trouble here…homeless vets, medicine shortages are forecast soon, homeless families, a grid that’s about to implode, etc etc.   NINETY FIVE BILL would REALLY HELP.   US.   But, no……………

That’s bad enough but here we go;   So HERE IS WHAT THE REPUBLICANS SHOULD DO AS THEY IGNORE MS. GREENE.

They quickly introduce a bill about THE BORDER.   IMMEDIATELY.   Enough money that would actually close it, not just make it easier for us to handle illegal migration, not just enough to get more guards.  No.  CLOSE IT.    Open ONLY to LEGALS.

Mike Johnson brings it up and talks to enough news sources that SOME of them will actually tell the truth:  He says;   THIS IS WHAT THE REPUBLICANS HAD HOPED WOULD COME INTO THAT BILL AND THAT’S WHY WE’VE SAID ‘NO’ TO THE OTHER, EARLIER IMMIGRATION BILL THAT WE TURNED DOWN, WHICH THE LEFT LIED ABOUT AND LOUDLY APPLAUDED BY THEIR MEDIA……..IT WASN’T THAT TRUMP TOLD US WHAT TO DO, IT WASN’T THAT WE WANT TO KEEP THE BORDER OPEN:

WE WANT THE BILL TO ACTUALLY WORK;   SO HERE IT IS……REPUBLICANS BELIEVE SPENDING MONEY ON AMERICA IS BETTER THAN SPENDING IT ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

SIGNED, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

DO IT THIS WEEK, PLEASE.   GEEEZ READERS….WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS IDEA?   Z

I often get the feeling that politicians don’t care what people think when those people live outside of their congressional district.  Proof of this seems to be that if you wish to write a letter to a member of Congress who is not your representative, you’ll have to do it via snail mail because electronic communications are restricted to zip codes within that person’s congressional district.

And I suppose it is true that if you intend to serve in Congress, you need a very thick skin.  As to MTG … she doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her unless they live inside Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.

MTG is a politician.  She is not a statesman.  Some will argue that there is a place for people like her on America’s political stage.  Why?  Because for years, a comparatively small number of people (Democrats) regularly slapped around a larger number of American conservatives.  They became known as America’s silent majority.  Some conservatives were tired of it and became “less silent” on some issues.  MTG represents that group of people who are tired of being slapped around.  She has no compunction to compromise on matters of principle.  That’s her nest, and she has stayed the course so far.

MTG is not my congressman.  My congressman is someone very much like MTG: mouthy.  And while I do not approve of everything my congressman does or says over an open microphone, he’s doing what I sent him to Congress to do.  You see, I’m tired of being slapped around, too.

Yesterday, I read an article in WaPo about Speaker Johnson.  During one interview, he got all emotional and teary-eyed because he has a son at the USNA … and he doesn’t want his son to be sent to war in Ukraine, which prompted him to reverse engines for a three-point landing.  He doesn’t want HIS son to die in Ukraine, so the rest of us should pay gazillions of dollars to bail out a corrupt regime.

Is Johnson a RINO?  One of the worst, IMO.  So, I expect MTG and my Representative, Matt Gaetz, to say something.  And they did.  Ultimately, though, what goes on inside the House has little to do with me.  I’m not in control.  I’m munching on popcorn and drinking lager.  I do realize, however, that in some of the House’s business, a simple majority is needed to pass legislation.  In other matters, it takes a majority of the House to pass – or 261 votes of 435.  There aren’t 261 Republicans in the House.

I recall an incident many years ago where 18 Marines held off an entire battalion of communists for close to a day and a half.  Six of those Marines were killed.  All of the rest had been shot at least once.  Yet, they held the line.  They didn’t do that by kissing the enemy’s ass.  Sometimes, you need to draw a line in the sand – even when you know you will take hits.

People should dispense with the notion that politics is anything but down-and-dirty warfare.  Nice doesn’t work.  In politics, it isn’t enough to destroy an opponent at the polls; you have to slice and dice them as well and then gloat about it.  Now, here we are in 2024, and the situation in Congress is pretty much the way it was in 1856 when Preston Brooks, a Democrat, entered the Senate Chamber and, with not so much as a “Howdy,” bashed Republican Senator Charles Sumner (Massachusetts) in the head with a metal-tipped cane, as comeuppance for a speech recently delivered wherein Sumner impugned the integrity of Andrew Butler, a relative of Brooks.

We thought we had made strides in civilized behavior, encouraged by Reagan’s relationship with Democrat Tip O’Neill.  And then along came the Clintons, Obama, and the swine currently gorging himself in the White House.  We expect better from our representatives, but I’ll be honest with you and admit I don’t know why.

MUSTANG: MGT, I’m all for a congressman who stands the ground; with dignity, well explained reasoning and putting his district first…..this is about the country and she’s tearing us apart while Democrats do look dignified and very together. I’d be totally for a representative who sticks to his/her guns, what she’s doing isn’t going to help, of that we can be sure. For MTG, in this way, to even risk Hakeem Jeffries taking over is way beyond what I can take, I assure you. I have heard him speak far too many times, and he will kill us worse than ANY bill could.

As I said above, Republicans should be saying SPENDING MONEY ON AMERICA IS BETTER THAN SPENDING IT ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

I feel even less respect for Gaetz, by the way.  That’s quite a representation of Mike Johnson and his son…. Is financing Ukraine going to keep his son safe?

Winning requires a goal. From my view, there is no goal. The game of politics is played on a football field with no end-zones, the teams switch players on a whim, and the spectators root for the team playing in another stadium. To win, everyone must touch the ball at least once, admission to the stadium requires years of accumulating millions for the promoters, the promoters decide who wins, and the cost of a ticket requires taking out a loan for the amount of ten years of wages. The people paying for the stadium have the money required for the game taken at gunpoint, and are ignored if they think it costs too much.

The one thing I can say about the Democrats is they all are on the same team. With Marjorie Green, and too many Republicans, it appears they just want to touch the ball, play the game that nobody wins, and continue with what good people consider insanity. Otherwise, fecklessness reaches new heights with the current Congress.

Yeah, I sent you my daily . . . here ’tis, whittled down some and jpgs removed:

Understanding the complex and delicate relationships this country experiences with China, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Iran, Islam, and the entire UN . . . is all quite beyond my paygrade.

No way — simply NO MEANS — exist for ordinary citizens busy trying to keep food on the table, kids out of jail, power in the outlets, and gas in the tank to know what the hell goes on in the world.

We certainly can’t trust KJP to provide accurate and useful information about the activities of the Biden administration.  Or Kirby to give us anything CLOSE to the reality of Russia’s war in Ukraine, China’s hegemony in the western Pacific, or what’s actually going on in “the holy land.”

And everybody knows the mainstream media are biased, corrupt, and totally unreliable on such things as climate, abortion, immigration, crime, national security, education, and “equity.”

We’re constantly fed a diet of red herrings, horse manure, crickets, and hollow calories in the form of circular rhetoric, propaganda, systemic racism, and climate hysteria.

In fact, I betcha nobody in gummint has a valid plan for what to do about Ukraine, or Taiwan, or Gaza.  NOBODY.  Their only discernible strategy is retention of political power and personal enrichment in preparation for the inevitable grounding on the Reef of Debt, the falling sky of Domestic Terrorism, and the replacement of the Constitution with One Flew Over The Cuckoo’ Nest.

Joe Doakes doesn’t give a damn about Ukraine, but he DOES care about the billions tossed around over there to protect the border of a corrupt breakaway Russian province which is doomed to be reconquered by the latest in a succession of Peters the Great.

John Q. Public probably can’t find Taiwan on an unlabeled chart of the Pacific and hasn’t the foggiest idea what all the fuss is over computer chips and lithium batteries.  All he knows for sure is that he was a whole lot better off 4 years ago than he is now.

Susie Sorority can’t tell you what the letters in HAMAS stand for or what the party’s principal goals are, but she CAN tell you that Israel had October 7th coming for being so mean to those poor “Palestinians,” most of whose opportunist ancestors came from Egypt and Arabia.

Look . . . if you can’t take care of your own children, if they have to live in tents or cardboard cartons under bridges, or survive on outdated food tossed in dumpsters behind restaurants and convenience stores, you probably shouldn’t be handing out meals and electronic toys to reconquistadores and unaccompanied military-age males who can’t speak English and consider rape and banditry part of their cultural gift to America.

If you asked every adult US citizen if he wants to continue giving billions to Zelenskyy with no accountability for how it’s spent, you’d get a resounding “HELL No !!”

And if you asked them if people in this country without permission or means to survive on their own should be evicted, you’d get an unmistakable “Damned RIGHT!  And quickly.  Forcefully.  Completely.”

The elected officials making decisions for us are NOT serving the interests of “the American people,” only their own job security.

They’re quick to tell us that the ship of state will most certainly hit the sand if Ukraine falls, or if the Hamas “refugees” are mistreated by the IDF bullies, or if we don’t get rid of ALL our internal-combustion machinery immediately and replace it all with contrivances requiring solar- and wind-powered electricity.

But they’re lying . . . and the problem is that they KNOW they’re lying, because NOBODY can be so dense and unaware as to not see that the frenzy to go all electric by next Thursday will result in economic chaos.

Jesus pointed ‘em out 2000 years ago on The Mount of Beatitudes as he warned us to “beware the false prophets,” and that’s what they are — “ravenous wolves in sheep’s clothing” giving us misleading guidance on what’s “good for the American people” as they grow wealthier in their greed and perfidy.

We need to give more billions to Zelenskyy in much the same way a poker player needs to bet the farm on drawing that 5th Jack to fill his royal straight.

We need to give aid and support to Hamas while reining in the IDF just as we abandoned more than $7 billion in material hardware for the Taliban in Afghanistan.

We need to import 10s of millions of unvetted single males in the same way we need to revive small pox, tuberculosis, and cholera.

Our legislators are no better than foxes guarding the chicken coop.  Sailors raiding a bordello.  Mafiosi protecting building contractors.

And a lotta voters are beginning to see that the Democrats they’ve been keeping in power for so long now need to be replaced . . . so this fall when they vote, they’ll look for DIFFERENT Democrats, not the corrupt, greedy, out-of-date ones we have now.

Looked it up for others who care to admire the field ingenuity of our Marines: ”His men who were out of ammunition picked up AK-47s and ammo belts from dead NVA. The grenades were gone, expended to push back the first wave of the assault. So Howard issued one of the most unusual combat orders in recent history, “Throw rocks!”

“As incredible as the order sounded, it worked. When the enemy soldiers began to push their way through the sparse brush and knee-high grass to probe the perimeter, Howard’s men threw rocks at them. Mistaking the rocks for grenades, the enemy soldiers would move quickly into the open, allowing the defenders clear shots that made every round of remaining ammunition count.” Musta been close.
