The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost,
Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration,
politics without God, heaven without hell.
William Booth
“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.”

I believe in Christianity as I believe the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. C. S. Lewis
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

THERE WILL BE NO THREATS OF ANY KIND AT THIS BLOG, TO POLITICIANS OR OTHER COMMENTERS. thank you.
I keep hearing people argue that Cruz is too far right. He may be … but then I wonder, how was it possible for the American people to elect someone like Obama, who is so far left. The answer would seem to be in the simple math. There are more Americans living today who accept more government and less liberty. I attribute this to two things: there are more young people than mature, who have a natural tendency to vote with their emotions rather than their brains, and the education system that exploits this foolishness. Can Cruz beat Hillary? I don’t think so. I also do not think that any of the remaining GOP candidates can beat her, either … which is why the other day I remarked–if you want to know who the next VP is going to be, ask Hillary.

Cruz needs a charisma coach. And one of two things has to happen before he can beat her in the genelec:
1. She has to be behind bars in an orange jumpsuit
2. He has to figure out how to pour nice, thick, heavy oil on that swelling wave of Black Votes Matter that she’s gonna ride to her coronation.

“DO YOU THINK CRUZ COULD EVER BEAT HILLARY?”
In a rational society even Alfred E. Neuman should beat Hillary. Sadly, the rationality of ours is highly questionable! The very idea of an extension of the past >7 years bears this out!

I have been very hard on Ted Cruz, but I am a fact-based man. I have looked at Hillary-Cruz head-to-head polling, and while the polls give us no clear picture (anywhere from Cruz winning by 5 to Hillary winning by 11), all polling shows a clear trend of Hillary going down and Cruz rising.

Here’s the Electoral College calculator. I’d like to see someone use that to make the case that Cruz can win. He’s gotta hold everything the Romney losers won in 2012, and then he has to take back some states Obama won.
Which states can he flip? To make a case to me how Cruz can beat Hillary, you must answer that question.

Cruz could win, but as my favorite professor (I would have cherished being in one of Bocopro’s classes) said above, he needs a serious make-over, some kind of Queer Eye for the Rightwing guy. He’s a brilliant man and I love his positions, but he needs some better strategery and he needs to cultivate a more friendly persona.
Look at the lib Dems, my friends. They’ve got the PR Propaganda down to a pop culture science.

If by some odd chance Hellary’s rampant lawbreaking knocks her out of the race and Biden steps in, the GOP is in serious trouble. He is a far superior candidate and he would be hard to beat, especially if Obama gets out there for him and rouses his base.

No way. He’s terrible. He doesn’t understand political communication. He’s in his abstract conservative ideas (which I like) but it’s almost too philosophical.
This debate was terrible. I woke up thinking I learned nothing aside from knowing they can bicker pretty well.
If I had to choose someone, I’m voting Kasich at this point.

Cruz is too much of a preacher. Rubio is a frat boy. Trump showed he’s a bit full of it. Kasich needs a bit more cojones and throw punches a bit more.

The Danger of Idle Talk
Read | Proverbs 12:13-22
Ask a group of people to define gossip, and most will mention something about spreading rumors about others. That is correct, but it’s not the whole truth. Gossip includes any idle or malicious talk that harms someone else. In other words, damaging speech is a universal sin—one that we all are guilty of at some point in life.
For example, did you ever comment negatively on how a person was dressed? Or suggest to a friend that someone you both know is in the wrong job or involved in unsuitable hobbies? Or tell an acquaintance about another man or woman’s personal life? Let me ask you a final question: Did you feel a check in your spirit while you were speaking? All of these can be examples of gossip—words that do damage and hurt others despite sounding innocent.
Idle comments are often delivered in a way that makes them seem unlike the traditional definition of gossip. People mask gossip in several ways, such as speaking in jest, offering others’ personal details “as an example,” and disguising the spread of information as a prayer request. Of course, not every tease or illustration is gossip. And the body of Christ is certainly called upon to pray for those facing hard times. Therefore, we must be able to distinguish between worthless chatter and wise speech.
What matters is the heart’s motivation (Ps. 19:14). When the intention is to mar a reputation or create instant camaraderie with another person, lips move loosely—this often happens while discussing someone else’s misfortune. But a desire to please God and reflect His grace prompts us to speak only that which builds others up (Eph. 4:29).

I believe whoever makes it for the GOP, if its against Hillary they have to hit her hard with facts but with tact so as not to show bias, in an effort to sway the left. If its against Biden, its a bit harder because even though he is a known ding-a-ling, he somehow still is a fairly likable guy without the negatives of Hillary who can appeal to the left, so our GOP candidate, whoever he is, will have a tougher time. Also, given the intellect of the current generation, the voting age should be raised to 25, or maybe even 30, so as not to appeal to college age “gimmies”. But we know that’ll never happen!

Well, “Moderate” republicans cannot get elected. Therefore if anyone has a chance it’s going to be Cruz.

Ed, Biden does have an operation…he has Hillary’s operation and she’ll hand it over to him in the way her people are exactly who his people would be, I believe.
And I still think there is no way Cruz can beat a “promise them everything” Democrat.
SF…”Queer Eye for the Rightwing guy” I read this an hour ago and it still makes me laugh…PERFECTLY put!! Really cracked me up.
I am trying so hard to be a Cruz fan only because Rubio’s comment about small hands REALLY did it for me. REALLY turned me OFF. But, it’s a struggle with Cruz!!
FB , Stanley includes “Did you feel a check in your spirit while you were speaking? All of these can be examples of gossip—words that do damage and hurt others despite sounding innocent.” That ‘check’ is the Holy Spirit…. and I think it’s why many of us can’t watch these candidates anymore…they’re SO difficult to hear, the insults, the sexual innuendos in public, etc….it stops us in our tracks and we know it’s WRONG.
Not sure your reason for posting this but I’d like to know….thanks.
ALL of your comments are so right and SO clever, pardon me for not mentioning them all…I sub’d all morning (3 75 minute classes full of 14-18 year olds depending on the class….on a FRIDAY which is HELL!!) and then some minor surgery this afternoon (I’m FINE), so I’m tired and will be back later.

SF, My thinking is this….
GWB won becuase he ran against the POS’s Gore and then Kerry. And enough people were turned off to democrats by the end of bubba’s 8 years of lies and BJ’s.
Outside of that, since 1992, we have not seen a republican win the white house. I believe this is because a significant number of usual republican voters choose to stay home when the repubs run a “moderate” republican that is viewed as one who tries to appeal to the ‘losers’ in our society. COnservatives have no interest in appealing to losers in an election.
I therefore believe that the only way a republican candidate can win is by being or perceived to be a no holds bared 100% Conservative who doesn’t give a damn about the loser class.
I think Cruz is the closest to that description. I have no idea whether he is or could win or not, but I will stand here and guarantee you that Rubio or Kasich cannot win with the minamilist ideas about where America should focus. Extreme example being Jeb! “tweak the tax code, embrace the syrian and mexican migrants” Bush. He was ejected very poste haste for someone who had lots of money to spend. That alone helps to make my above case.
I think the silent majority is bigger than most people think and I believe they will come out for someone who they believe will put Conservaties on the SC, and at least begin rolling back the libtard assault on America.
I find it depressing so many are For Trump. I view that as a total non-thinking knee jerk decision to put someone in the white house that they feel will make libtards writhe in pain for at least 4 years like worms on acres of hot cement with no where to go for relief. The stick poked into obama’s eye. I have to admit there is some satisfaction to that, but not enough for me. I want to see things actually Happening in the areas mentioned above (SC,f ederal depts) and don’t trust Trump enough to pull the handle for him. I’m voting Cruz in the Primary in a week and a half. But if Trump is the nominee, I’m not voting democrat directly or indirectly(by not voting at all).
I have yet to vote For somone. I’ve only voted against democrats thus far.

My take on Rubio is not gossip. Mean spirited maybe a tad. I just think he hasn’t shown enough in his life to be president. His constant spin to compensate for this makes me think he’s a fraud. The mere fact he made his name using the Tea Party to become the establishment candidate of the GOP statists and other neocons also shows that he only is an opportunist not be trusted.
My #1 rule for candidates is never elect someone who hasn’t been in a managerial and executive position, whether it’s governor, business man, army man, etc… All the rest are just talking heads, especially if they don’t even bother showing up for work like Rubio.
