Depressing as it gets………liberal bias is winning

bias

First, before I start my post, let me ask you to be sure to say Happy 87th Birthday to our friend and commenter, Mal, in the Comments Section!

Please go (after you read my post!!!) to Kid’s Blog and read THIS POST…….every blogger should link to it.  I SO wish that I still had more liberal lefty loons than Ducky and Jersey reading this blog because they really need to get his message……..But now, please read MY MESSAGE…which IS………….

I’ve been thinking a lot about America and what we see/hear/read in the news and it occurs to me that we’re losing so much because we’re being led by people who haven’t a ghost of a chance of doing anything but run America into the ground through debt, bad character, not understanding the Constitution, demeaning our history, not able to name our enemies,  etc.   (Witness Obama, as if I had to say…)

I made this list that’s been going through my mind lately…finally wrote it down and want your input:

  1. Destroying the economy seems to be the goal in attaining a climate system where New York City won’t be submerged in water in five years.  Draconian methods will be used to make sure businesses can’t remain open here in America while we see China and India spew horrible toxins into the air;  as if there’s a glass shield over them by which we’ll not be affected.  It’s WE who have to give it up $$$$….
  2. Anti Cop sentiment is getting even more dangerous, with a president who started this whole thing off with the Professor Henry Gates/Harvard situation, culminating in the Beer Summit, remember?…where Gates, a cop and Obama shared beers in the sunny garden lawn and solved racial problems all over America?  Meanwhile, good Black kids who were studying as they were shot to death in their homes get zip and punk drug dealers’ mothers who are heroin addicts get $6,000,000 and the father who never raised the kid gets almost $1 million….The child shot while sitting on her mom’s bed doing homework would get zip because she isn’t involved in the Baltimore mayor’s agenda.
  3. Instead of being able to say the words “Muslim Terrorism”, our president has decided to take in 10,000 Syrian refugees, mostly able bodied men without the guts to fight in their country, but might, here.  But, don’t worry, folks….Islamists always tell the truth and, remember, when they’re asked if they like America, their answer would be “Sure, all of us in the Middle East do,” and they’ll be believed by relatively untrained interrogators.  Watch for it. This is a president who raves about the wonders of Islam and how foundational it was to the forming of America (how?) yet can’t acknowledge the hideous terror amongst them?   I believe many of those people do need refuge, Muslims included, but I don’t see how taking in this many can be safe for America today.   I wonder how many Christian refugees Muslim countries would take in? But my biggest question is “Why won’t the Saudis and other rich countries take them in?”  They do have the room.  (You won’t want to miss that link information)
  4. This is a country which has, virtually, no borders…..and we are paying for those who illegally sneak in.  We can’t even call them illegals, they are undocumented workers, or whatever the name du jour is today.  This is a sovereign country?
  5. We champion transgenders and pansexuals….frontpage news for our kids to feast their fantasies on.  Meanwhile, little girls in Middle Schools now have to accept boys who suddenly decided they’re girls using the same bathrooms.   According to the school administrators, it’s the girls’ problem now to deal with, not the messed up boy’s.
  6. Even Turner Classic Movies’ host Ben Mankiewicz, when introducing a film about to air, says things like “it’s about American patriotism during WWII but most of it is exaggerated,” or other very disdainful things about anything patriotic or good in America.  You’ll notice it now that I have mentioned it, if you hadn’t already…you will have just been touched by a lovely film filled with patriotism, Christianity, love for family…and BAMMO!  “It wasn’t really like that…”  This is emblematic of a lot…it’s like TCM, when Ben hosts, is the MSNBC of Movie Channels….except a bit more subtle.
  7. Late Night talk show hosts all slam Republican … constantly.  It’s the biggest laugh to joke about any conservative values, and that’s what America’s growing up on.
  8. PBS, the “PUBLIC?” Broadcasting System has become an even bigger joke;  do you know that 70% of the time I’m flipping channels and run across it, there’s the Anti Capitalist lecture by Richard Wolff?  Lecturing the ‘public’ on the sins of capitalism…constantly.   If you know any, please write in Comments what shows you’ve seen lately on PBS which shamefacedly tout Capitalism or ANY Conservative values.  ANY.  We’re paying for that, folks.  Think any liberal wants to pay Sean Hannity’s salary?
  9. The Black Lives Matter leader is now going to teach a course in leadership at Yale!  Isn’t that precious?   But, I know we can all be certain he won’t try to indoctrinate at all, right?  🙂  Is there a Conservative radical speaking anywhere? (without a pie in his face, that is?)

I could go on and ON and on, and so could you…..and I want to leave you with another point I find so typical, so clearly planned on the Left’s side.  This might sound silly to even mention, but:

10.  Joy Behar is back on THE VIEW.   I don’t watch it, you probably don’t watch it, but millions of women do… She’d left a few years ago…..think it’s a coincidence that she’s back and still slamming every Republican/Conservative, pro-family or faith thing she can, to the delight of her audience responding to her ‘humor’?   Know who’s supposedly the strong conservative voice represented to counterbalance?  Candice Bure.  (stop laughing, it’s true)

My list above,  only part of the huge leftwing take-over attempts, is much more powerful and meaningful than JOY BEHAR.  But I mention her because it’s an example of the very subtle, cunning and manipulative brains of the Left……she’s there for a reason.  Her humor belittles Conservatives very soundly and is hilarious to her audience.  And the DNC doesn’t have to pay.  Unless they paid ABC to take her back.  And this works.

Please comment on the list above.……I’d like to hear more, or what you think of my list, because I believe we’re losing BIG TIME and want to know from you how we might change this.  SO far, no good.

Liberalism, in it’s contemporary context, is a philosophy which creates an illusion of self-superiority for those who are chronically disgruntled and generally lacking in wisdom and common sense. As a form of contagious mental illness we have seen it metastasize in recent years. The way I see it, unless/until Americans have a miraculous epiphany “change” will not come about, at least till things get much worse. It’s sort of like a science fiction horror movie!

I’m recommending this post to many.

    Hi Z,
Once you mentioned a concern about the “echo chamber” effect. I’ve thought about that a lot since then, and think it underscores some of what you’ve written in this post.

Instability and change breed insecurity for the people of a nation. Since continuity is being forcibly ripped away from Americans in most every area of their lives, it is only natural that they want to hold even tighter to anything which feels familiar. For those in the Northeast, and some other areas of the country, PBS and other “liberal” voices are like lullabies singing softly, “the world makes sense”. Comedians like Joy Behar gain their visibility because they are funny AND they are politically acceptable to the half dozen corporations which control access to the airwaves.

As John M Berger said, “it is like a science fiction movie”. Or an octopus.

    Important post, Z. Thanks.

Jerry; I think of that Isaiah verse from time to time…we’re studying it this year at my large Bible study and it’s SO prophetic about SO many things…eerie. And yes, GREAT MINDS on Joy Behar, although I hate to combine ‘great minds’ and ‘joy behar’ in one sentence!

Silverfiddle…excellent thoughts….this really made me so sad ” Governments benefit from chaos and a fearful public” because I know that Ronald Reagan never rejoiced in chaos or fear in his people.

Vrag: “Corporate” ethics are the world’s new “value system”. Eventually, it will supercede all national constitutions, traditions, and other ethical systems”
THAT is chilling and really well put…. What do you think happened which has produced this kowtowing to corporate ‘values’…Do you think the individual (we) was just asleep at the wheel or lazy enough to let this all happen?
“The “individual” can no longer compete, or escape the market’s reach.” The Market’s reach; tell me what you mean.

Alec, I think your assessment of fear and grasping at anything that makes “the world make sense” to many, and why, is a very good description of what many are feeling…Turn Stephen Colbert on…….he’ll soothe us with laughter (mostly at conservatives and their values) and we’ll cling to that…..Johnny Carson was the same way, but he did not mind bend anybody with his politics…no indoctrination, just fun and briliance. There IS NO talk show host talking conservatism positively….you know, if liberals really did have unbiased minds or an educated conscience, they’d be asking themselves why this is; it’s not a matter of money because Conservatives are a HUGE buying demographic…….PBS…WE pAY FOR ANTI CAPITALISM TALKS CONSTANTLY SHOWN? The ‘refugees’ seem to have plenty of cash money, they even can afford to reject food/water offered to them on their 5000 mile trek through Europe.

On top of that, they pillage all the places they come across. There was a video about a Greek island where a couple thousand refugees would simply walk into the homes of the Greek people and take whatever they wanted.

The same thing is happening at the train station in Budapest, Hungary, the hordes of ‘refugees’ there simply pillage the surrounding businesses and supermarkets.

Here in Germany, they are now officially allowed to travel for free by train since they don’t pay for a ticket anyway and trying to ID or arrest them apparently is quite dangerous, since they move around in large groups and can easily overwhelm a handful of cops.

Also here in Germany, ‘refugees’ simply walk into supermarkets, fill their carts with goodies and then leave without paying. This happens so frequently in supermarkets that are close to refugee shelters that the supermarkets either have to shut down (even private security doesn’t work, since again, they do it in large groups), or the government offers to pay up for the losses with German tax money.

This is how the Roman Empire must have crumbled, the utter decadence of its entire upper class.

But that’s not the worst of what I saw. That kid was always tweaky, anyway.

Other former students came along to agree with him. These others ought to know better! They were among my best students and my most conservative students.

    What happened to them?

    The social media.

    The mainstream media.

  24. Here’s the main part of what the former student posted a little while ago:

He wasn’t up there advocating all the things you hate, though he stood by his other beliefs despite the roaring applause in opposition. He focused on a very real issue that the church is determined to miss, thinking for some unbelievable reason that capitalism is a Christian value. He focused on the poor. That because of racial profiling and a self-righteous ideas of hoarding wealth because you earn it is a Christian value, meanwhile saying in your head “their homeless because of drugs, alcohol, sin, sin, sin.”

Where in the Bible does it say give to the homeless if you have proven that they are righteous? From my understanding it says quite the opposite. It says “there is no one righteous, not even one” and countless times Jesus says to feed the hungry, give to the poor, care for the widow. There’s no separation of the upright, hardworking, needy who just need a chance, and those who are in need for any other reason.

What would be argued is that the government shouldn’t force that, it’s un-American… One thing to know about America is it was founded by the people for the people, and the voice of America is shifting, in some ways, like caring for the poor, in a more Christian attitude than before.

What I hope you’ll consider is how did we get here if what Bernie said about the figures in America’s poverty is true? If you want the government out of what should be the job of the church, then the church should have done their job so that the government didn’t have to step in.

What do you think of that?

    AOW,
Yesterday I sat in conversation with 3 other couples who attend different (conservative) churches. One of our main points of discussion was this very thing, which I believe is coming down from on high. Whether we want to call it Liberal Christianity, or the social gospel, or “caring for the poor”, it is just as anti-Christian as Buddhism or Islam. It may be worse, because so many Christians don’t know their Scriptures, are not getting solid teaching at their churches (whatever the denomination), and are unschooled in rational thought.

The Bible verses that false shepherds are using to mislead are invariably from the Old Testament, and directed to the poor in the Hebrew Nation. If we make a direct application, this would be directing us to see to the physical needs of people in the church. We could even say that it would be people who are not Christians, but come to the church for help. But the idea that Christianity is about saving the world through human effort is being promoted to get people in line with an ideology. And it ain’t a Christian one.

We’re seeing that today in Europe, with the closing of borders to such an influx of refugees as would normally constitute an invasion, and it won’t take much more of a spark to ignite America. Here’s the real boiling point:

In 2013 alone, 117,423 migrants from Muslim-majority countries were permanently resettled within the United States— having been given lawful permanent resident status. Additionally in 2013, the United States voluntarily admitted an extra 122,921 temporary migrants from Muslim countries as foreign students and foreign workers as well as 39,932 refugees and asylees from Muslim countries.

Thus, twelve years after the September 11th hijackers were invited into the country on temporary visas, the U.S. decided to admit 280,276 migrants from Muslim countries within a single fiscal year.

To put these numbers into perspective, this means that every year the U.S. admits a number of Muslim migrants larger in size than the entire population of Des Moines, Iowa; Lincoln, Nebraska; or Dayton, Ohio.

The rate of Muslim immigration has been increasing since September 11. Between 2001 and 2013, the United States permanently resettled 1.5 million Muslim immigrants throughout the United States. Unlike illegal immigrants, legal immigrants granted lifetime resettlement privileges will be given automatic work permits, welfare access, and the ability to become voting citizens.

Experts believe these numbers will only continue to increase.

The Middle East represents the fastest-growing bloc of immigrants admitted into the country on visas, according to a census data-based report authored by the Center for Immigration Studies. Student visas for Middle Eastern countries have similarly grown enormously, including 16-fold increase in Saudi students since 9/11. Arabic is now the most common language spoken by refugees, and 91.4 percent of recent refugees from the Middle East are on food stamps.

The large-scale importation of Muslim migrants from nations that do not share Western values has posed a series of assimilation difficulties for the United States. For instance, the importation of immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries has now put half a million girls in the United States at risk of enduring a traditional anti-Western, anti-woman practice known as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). This means that there are more girls in the United States at risk of lifelong sexual disfigurement than there are in Uganda and Cameroon.

In 2013, we added more than ten times more immigrants on green cards from the Muslim countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran and Egypt (48,507) than we did from the nation France (4,425).

The case of Mohamed Bouazizi says it all. People can no longer earn a living by their own labour. All saleable products are outsourced overseas to the lowest cost robotic factory with profits banked in Geneva.

If a Tunisian peasant can earn a buck in a third world backwater, what chance do the rest of us have? The “market” is now global.

  51. About the young man I mentioned earlier….

He grew up well-grounded in a solid church based upon the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not the social gospel, either.

However, he recently made a big deal about coming out as gay. This announcement has not been well received by his parents or the church.

He attends Liberty University, and I don’t know Liberty’s position on a student who is so openly gay that the photos on Facebook — the photos of his lover and him — border on pornographic.

Just thought that I’d mention this additional information.

Also, to be clear…He never had to run the full gauntlet of my classes. He audited one in middle school, then left. His mother decided that my academic standards were too harsh.

I realize the righteous anti-papist sentiment can sometimes burn white hot, but for crying out loud, at least approach it with some charity in your heart and do some investigation before wholly ingesting something and propagating lies.

Mom was hospitalized….please continue to pray. Good news is it looks like she’ll be fine, just needs even more tests, and some rest…

BUT, we have a NEW BABY in the family born yesterday as well!..Please welcome her to God’s world! Quite an emotional roller coaster day!

AOW…I do feel our churches haven’t done what they could to help as they did in the past but there are good reasons for it! WHO HAS THE MONEY? Plus, so many churches have been shrinking and our economy’s so rotten that nobody has much extra money for the basket at church!
HORRID that the young man who’s announced he’s gay would post almost pornographic stuff on facebook; I thought you couldn’t do that, anyway!? Facebook takes down stuff criticizing gay marriage, but will allow gay porn, huh? Perfect (not) If that’s the case, it’s a great example for my post list, isn’t it..

Imp and Bay; Denmark’s the country who’s village choir sang welcoming the immigrants, telling them in the lyrics they couldn’t wait to learn more about them, etc.

My Stepson sent me HORRIBLE pictures of detritus spewed all OVER the German and Hungarian countrysides…miles of trash….the U-Bahn (underground) is full of trash, plastic bottles, baby diapers…disgusting. But, what’s the point of posting them as I thought I might? He also said that the flight attendants tell him the seats of Middle Eastern passengers are often full of trash when they leave….he’d commented to a flight attendant “Who’d leave that kind of junk behind?” and she told him that………sad, isn’t it.

I really do sympathize with people who had to run and leave their countries behind, but I think we’re all waking up to the fact that they’re coming for more than help…..more than temporary assistance.
One refugee was asked, on the news, “Why not stay in Hungary now?” “We want to get to GERmANY…GERMANY IS GOOD”

    Ya, really, really GOOD$$$$$

  57. baysider says:

I don’t think trash removal – as we know it – is a value in some of these countries. I remember one man’s impression of Egypt flying in. From high up it looked like white, clay-lined drainage ditches. Closer, he saw it was garbage/trash dumped everywhere and had blown into the ditches.

I can ‘understand’ dumping bottles where there is no trash receptacle (not really – I carry my trash out when I hike), but in the U-Bahn? I know those tidy Germans (my mother-in-law’s word for a German farm – tidy) have trash cans! Reminds one of the south side of Chicago. Jesse Jackson was touring there and someone pointed out all the trash all over the street and said ‘it’s too bad the city doesn’t pick it up.’ He answered ‘why don’t you pick it up?’ There’s just a mindset – it’s different and it’s ugly.

Denmark too? I remember the Dutch who sang welcome at the railway station. Sounds staged.
Geert Wilders – in contrast to the Dutch premier – is well spoken about the invasion. I originally saw this on Gates of Vienna: https://youtu.be/pfyf2wQ_g-0 No wonder his book is called “Marked for Death.”

Continued prayers for your mom and family.

And yes, trash ALL OVER. Obviously, those people are traveling with nothing but the little they have I guess I’d have to post one or two to get the point across, but as difficult as it is to not litter in horrid situations like they’ve been in, it’s BAD….you’d think they’d do all they can to show willingness to be accepted. But that’s just me.

SF and BAY: What’s this about ‘state sponsored media reports’…I have to leave so I can’t go back and read all comments again…and would like to know where that was said and what context because I have my thoughts on that, too..(SURPRISE!)

I would have to include one more: the educational system. Talk about brainwashing. Our children grow up reading textbooks and doing class assignments preaching the liberal agenda – or slamming “old America” and Conservatism. Believe me, sooner or later, WWII will be dropped and replaced with praise for that idiot Jenner and his/her “courage”. Your point #5 is well taken – as the rest of them.

ps They announced in LA that crime has increased 12.7% during the first half of 2015. I’m sure the numbers are greater but conveniently doctored. The LAT reported, “Mayor Eric Garcetti and Police Chief Charlie Beck attributed the increases to several possible factors, including gang violence, rising homelessness and a November ballot measure that downgraded many theft and drug crimes from felonies to misdemeanors.” They just don’t get it… Because of the open season on cops, cries of racism and the cell phone video problem (frequently taken in high crime areas), cops are second guessing going to investigate a call…for fear they will lose their jobs because they handled a resisting perp “inappropriately”.

I wrote this to send on my nightly articles. I think this might help explain what’s going on. Jean
    My Prayer for Our Country

0h, most holy, beneficent, omnipotent, loving, eternal Being who has given us the privilege of calling you Father and given us the kindness to be able to come before your throne by the power of your Holy Spirit because of the blood shed for us by your Divine Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, we humbly seek your help.

Perhaps what is happening, first Covid19, now insurrection all over the country, is judgment on our country (and before the coming judgment of the whole world in the 7 yr. Tribulation period–see the book of Revelation, the last book of the bible).

And why not? Starting in the 60’s, we pushed You out of our schools and our government because of the cunning work of Satan and his emissaries who took Thomas Jefferson’s “the separation clause” and turned it on its head (see explanation below); we have murdered over 60,000,000 babies because of abortion; we have changed the meaning of marriage to allow two men or two women to get “married”; we have allowed homosexual behavior to be considered just another lifestyle, our entertainment capital has sent smut, violence and pornography all over the world, we have sexualized children down to kindergarten, even giving cart blanche to drag queens to read to our innocent little children in libraries, we have re-defined who a man is, who a woman is by saying it’s who you “feel” you are, and not who the Designer God made you to be. And of course some of us have felt superior because of the color of our skin and attempted to make others feel inferior or mistreated them because of the color of their skin.

For all these overt sins, and so many other sins of thought, word and deed, we beg your forgiveness. We prayerfully ask your help in putting an end to this horror of insurrection, rebellion, and uprising that is destroying our country. We grieve for George Floyd’s family and all the people who have lost livelihoods because of businesses destroyed and people like retired cop David Dorn in St. Louis who was just killed as well as four policeman shot. This does not honor George Floyd’s memory in any way, and it certainly doesn’t honor You in any way.

We humbly ask you for your mercy, love and help (not your justice) in putting an end to what the anarchists wish, destruction of our country that was once founded on Godly principles, but has devolved over time into a country we hardly know now. In your precious Son’s name, we beg and implore You. Amen
